    u can use resource hacker for doing both of this...

    for the icons & bitmap on the left side.. download the attached file (Defaut.sfx) then open it using ResourceHacker. replace the icon & a custom bitmap (93 x 302) with ur own... make a backup of ur default.sfx inside your Winrar directory.. then replace it with ur hacked Default.sfx... try making an sfx installer..

    Hrm - no workee. I wonder - this VM had 1.07 installed. I uninstalled that, then installed the new modified 1.5. The extension installer never pops up, and going to Tools->Extensions shows an empty list.

    My browser.xpi looks like this :

    I'll try a new VM with a clean install of this 1.5.

    @ halfwalker.. it works well with my FF 1.5... when u open ur FF the first time, the extension installer will popup & after it installs firefox will open... but of course u shud restart firefox for the extension/ themes to work..

    the extensions shud be inside bin/extensions/

    i recommend using bookmark backup extension to backup ur FF settings... it can backup prefs.js.. then what i did is to put it & replace the original prefs.js in the FF installer... even ur previous extension settings will be restored :thumbup

    To edit the FF instaler directly:

    1) Download Firefox

    2) Open config.ini, change Run Mode=Normal to Run Mode=Silent

    3) Delete adt.xpi, talkback.xpi

    4) To add your extentions and themes open browser.xpi in winrar, browse to bin\extensions, copy all your themes and extention's to the folder.

    5) To add plugin's in browser.xpi, browse to \bin\plugins and copy all the plugin's to that folder. Note some plugin's also have files in bin\components.

    6) To add your bookmarks's and prefs.js, open up your language.xpi (ex: en-US.xpi) and browse to i\bin\defaults\profile and then copy in your bookmark and pref's.

    7) Then just make a 7-zip installer.

    this is the best method for me :thumbup first time i manually edit the installer, it works like a charm...thnx keytotime! :thumbup

    the problem i have when i have patched my uxtheme.dll is that i have to change my themes always.. its like im not contented with my themes... i always have to DL new one.. its very difficult to choose from them coz most are good... thats y i decided to remove shell service...

    im just curious why other people prefer the "Windows Classic" look that having a themed one? right now i removed theme support & im using minimalistic xp look but i have to say i miss visual themes... :unsure: specially when i browse onto oder forums about xp customization & i see the new updates...

    ive switched to xmplay for my music now so i hardly use the playlist in mpc which i use only for video. with xmplay i just add a right click context menu to quickly play all music in folder/subfolder.

    me too.. even though i learned the Mpc playlist, after testing oder mp3 players, i found XMPlay better... MPC uses 12mb ram but XMplay about 3 mb in my system... & guess what, it has equalizer settings & reverb... im currently using a themeless version of xp... the XMplay classic skin looks good for me.. :thumbup

    i know a lot of u guys prefer the clasic media player rather than v 9 or 10... im using the unicode build from souceforge & i like it but whats keeping from using the oders is that i dont know how to configure the sound... is there a plugin for me to achieve a "winamp"- like sound... (the equalizer settings)... & alos thers no playlist? how am i able to queue aothers songs>? :wacko:

    hi, i remember downloading an attached file somewer here in msfn.org.. i forgot the file name & the member who posted it.. the program hav the ability to uninstall & install services of Xp... if u r familar with "serviwin" it has icon similar to it and its a stand alone program if im not mistaken... anyonhe knows whats tyhe prog?

    hi i hope som1 can make a context menu like this one... im using FolderPilo but it has bugs... as you can see, the context menu looks different.. it does not match some themes like VistaXP, Clear Looks etc.. its annoying for me.. so if anyone has some ideas how can i make that kind of context menu, pls help...
