i moved my documents to "e:\docs" heres my reg tweak that works... u can use resource hacker for doing both of this... for the icons & bitmap on the left side.. download the attached file (Defaut.sfx) then open it using ResourceHacker. replace the icon & a custom bitmap (93 x 302) with ur own... make a backup of ur default.sfx inside your Winrar directory.. then replace it with ur hacked Default.sfx... try making an sfx installer.. hope that helps..

im just modding my own from 5 different vista transformation packs.. removing 256 & 128 icons w/c is uneccessary. i dont know y they put those big icons in their packs... 48, 32, 16 are preferable icon sizes..

@ halfwalker.. it works well with my FF 1.5... when u open ur FF the first time, the extension installer will popup & after it installs firefox will open... but of course u shud restart firefox for the extension/ themes to work.. the extensions shud be inside bin/extensions/ i recommend using bookmark backup extension to backup ur FF settings... it can backup prefs.js.. then what i did is to put it & replace the original prefs.js in the FF installer... even ur previous extension settings will be restored

hi, i just want to know ur opinion coz im trying to edit my shell32 & im confused w/c folder to make as a default one... so w/c of this 2 vista folder looks appealing to you? the yellow one or the blue one? B)

this is the best method for me first time i manually edit the installer, it works like a charm...thnx keytotime!

of course theyr using a software for that but theyr not editing a music like what ur thinking ... they have the original instrumental music & then they add effects

u can try Axialis Iconworkshop.. imagine photoshop for icons.. it can edit icons, extract icons from system files, export icons as library, extract library as icons etc... it can resize.. blah blah blah... it also has the functionality of icon packager... but its not free

the problem i have when i have patched my uxtheme.dll is that i have to change my themes always.. its like im not contented with my themes... i always have to DL new one.. its very difficult to choose from them coz most are good... thats y i decided to remove shell service...

im just curious why other people prefer the "Windows Classic" look that having a themed one? right now i removed theme support & im using minimalistic xp look but i have to say i miss visual themes... specially when i browse onto oder forums about xp customization & i see the new updates... me too.. even though i learned the Mpc playlist, after testing oder mp3 players, i found XMPlay better... MPC uses 12mb ram but XMplay about 3 mb in my system... & guess what, it has equalizer settings & reverb... im currently using a themeless version of xp... the XMplay classic skin looks good for me..

i know a lot of u guys prefer the clasic media player rather than v 9 or 10... im using the unicode build from souceforge & i like it but whats keeping from using the oders is that i dont know how to configure the sound... is there a plugin for me to achieve a "winamp"- like sound... (the equalizer settings)... & alos thers no playlist? how am i able to queue aothers songs>?

hi, i remember downloading an attached file somewer here in msfn.org.. i forgot the file name & the member who posted it.. the program hav the ability to uninstall & install services of Xp... if u r familar with "serviwin" it has icon similar to it and its a stand alone program if im not mistaken... anyonhe knows whats tyhe prog?
