- Go to chrome://extensions - Turn on Developer mode - Drag and drop the downloaded ZIP file into the page. You can test if it works in this page: http://www.ultrasounds.com/ Tell me if it works. Cheers. Edit: You have to unpack yourself the extension and then press the "Load unpacked extension..." button and select the folder you unpacked from the ZIP file.

Hello! I finally finished with the modifications I made for the original v9 version. I was incorporating almost all of the rules of @ArcticFoxie from the translation and grammatical issues. Thanks for all those steps man. I will post all the modifications I made in a pastebin. I am still trying to organize them. The modifications for the prevention of Chinese connections were updated. https://www.mediafire.com/file/0ie269yna5qb37w/360EE_9.5.0.138_Modified.7z/file (newer one ahead) Also if you want to run Flash Player you can use this extension: https://ruffle.rs/ (does not work, at least with v9) Cheers.

@ArcticFoxie Since there are a lot of translation and English problems (and you have more experience than me in English and in the text displayed in the browser) I would like you to make a list showing all the changes you think convenient (if you want). I for my part will sort out the changes I made to remove the Chinese connections. When we have the 2 complete lists we can start modifying the original versions of the browser, what do you think? And of course, no need to rush, take your time. Cheers.

Ok. I tested it yesterday with original v9 and it is like you said. I will add those modifications in Modded v9. Don't worry about the obsessive thing that I like and I need this kind of information (I am obsessive with the things I like to do).Yesterday I saw that I didn't delete an image that appears on the extensions page that is in Chinese, and in the "about" menu where the browser and chromium versions appear another fix is also needed. Thank you. Where did you make this modification? Ok, it looks like they want to upgrade to a newer chromium. Let's see how they handle it this time. Cheers.

Hello! Yes, part of the modifications cut the browser connections to the Chinese servers, and the others change the home page, welcome page, search engines and some buttons that I think are a bit annoying (the 360 account login button in the favorites button and in the menu). Don't worry I don't have much experience with all this stuff either. Those certificate issues may be the cause of you not being able to load those sites, I can load and view them with no problems. In the first comment of this thread there is a way to update Windows XP certificates. https://msfn.org/board/topic/182794-updated-browser-list-for-windows-xp/#comments Here is another link that might be useful http://retrosystemsrevival.blogspot.com/2021/03/certificate-updates-for-windows.html I don't know the procedure to do it but if you encounter any problems doing it I can help you. Cheers.

Well, I have uploaded the modified version of v9 on Mediafire. https://www.mediafire.com/file/vrulo92hek8761u/360EE_9.5.0.138.7z/file (Newer one ahead) I want feedback to see if I can continue with v11. This is a lot of fun! I will upload a pastebin explaining each change I made to the files. If this modified version is clean I would like to ask if it is possible or necessary for me to open a new thread where I post everything related to this modification (I think it would be more organized). And by the way, the welcome page is a surprise! Greetings.

I didn't know there was a program that could unpack the "resources.pak" file! That makes some actions much easier for me. Now the only problem I have is that in this place when I get some kind of error with the page or with the certificates (I think) I get this in Chinese. Do you know where this can be located? The only solution I know about is to use a VPN. I can access the page from 360EE. My internet provider has blocked Reddit so I understand how annoying that can be. You can try this extension for 360EE: https://www.hotspotshield.com/vpn/vpn-for-chrome/ I don't know much about what is going on in the EU but I think I heard some time ago that they were going to censor memes (humorous images). I don't know how it turned out but if they want to limit even humor, I'm not surprised that there are these kinds of blockades. Cheers.

Hello! I hope you are well after the time MSFN was down (I thought it would not open again and was a bit worried). I have compiled more information on the browser in these links (I recommend you to use google translate to read the pages, one of them is in Japanese): https://mevius.5ch.net/test/read.cgi/win/1599682854/95-194 http://effect8.ru/soft/browsers/360-extreme-explorer-portable.html https://board4524.rssing.com/chan-64145222/article193081-live.html I am almost close to finishing a modified version (from the original v9.5.0.138). I was able to remove the connections made by the options in the browser preferences through the chrome.dll file. I will post the modified version somewhere (I don't know if you can recommend a specific platform to upload it to) so you can try it out and let me know what you think. It will not depend on the "Preferences" file so there is no need to worry about the first run of the browser. After finishing with version 9 I will start with 11, 12 and then 13. Greetings.

Hello, I want to ask if anyone knows how to change the browser preferences from any of the files that come with it. Not counting the "Preferences" file. My goal is to make a modified version that does not have to depend on the first run of the browser to be able to modify it. I was already able to change the welcome page, home page, search engines, and others. But I have no idea how to change other settings (like displaying the browser avatar). Greetings.

Maybe they do, I think most of China's population is stuck on Windows XP because of the lightness compared to other more recent OS (for their computers that are not so powerful and they can't upgrade for whatever reason), and if that Chinese company wants to keep storing the data of those citizens I think it's a good option to keep working on XP.
