Well, i have just tried in the computer of an other friend with windows vista ultimate, and it has installed and worked fine. I have tried it in a fresh installation also. I think there is the final release. So @acetken, @hugo25 try this version and tell me please in order to upload the other languages with the final release. @razor813 I don´t know if Acheron has made a new version of Nero Lite 7.8.5.0, however is is strange after you have installed 7.5.5.1, it appears that the version is 7.8.5.0 in which operting system do you install it? I have a question to users of windows vista which nero is installed fine, what changes have you made in your windows vista? I refer

@actetken, @hugo25 I think this error "An error has occured during the start of Nero ProductSetup" is due that you have installed previously the original installer Nero Ultra/Premium, because the Nero Lite does not use the Nero product Setup, only it uses it Nero Ultra/Premium. It is just an opinion, anyways tomorrow i will do what i have said before.

@acetken, have you still the version R2? if you have it, try again and tell me how has been gone, if not i upload it for you.

PowerISO is a nullsoft installer, so you can install it with: /S in order to register it you must register it manually and then export your key to install it silently later, you can find the value in: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PowerISO] "USER"=xxxxx K-Lite Code Mega Pack is an innosetup installer, so you can install it with: /Silent or /VerySilent

@acetken Here is the test version, would you tell me please later if it is installed correctly and then check the value of "MissingFilesState" if it is set to "0" or "1", you will find it in the key "HKLM\Software\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info". I Think the problem of vista is when the program tries to write the key for MissingFilesState to "0" finishing the installation, vista blocks the execution of the program. So as i can not make tests in vista, i will upload a test version with another solution to write that key to "0", but if it does not work, i will upload a version like R4 but without that key "0" until i can make tests in vista. Thanks. EDIT: Thank you @accessdenied042, and seen your post: @acetken: could it be a problem with User Account Control (UAC), as the executable tries to write a key in HKLM controlled by UAC. anyways, tomorrow i will post the link for the test version with the other solution to see if it will work.

I will try to see if we can find a solution to the problem of @acetken @acetken, first i have to understand what it has been happened. Which release, did you install it well? Which release, did not you install it well? So i can see the changes made from the release has gone well to the release has not gone well.

@acetken Have you uninstalled the previous version? I have just made a try, and it has been installed well for me selecting only the main nero and the MauSau plug-ins. Added the italian language in the first post. Thanks

@Dynaletik, thanks for the sentence. Updated the first post with the version R4, and I have added three languages: Spanish, French and Germany. I will add more. I hope there are not many errors since i have made changes simultaneously. The changes made in the version R4 are minor. Added: the option to select to associate Nero witn the standard CD image files. Added: the shortcut to Nero Express.

This night, I will upload some languages. I have a question for anyone who is german or who knows german, this sentence is right? Thanks

@RickSteele You are right because i have removed the association of Nero to the commons images CD (*.ISO, *IMG..), as i have considered que the most people open those images with UltraISO, but if you consider that it is util, i will implement it in the future version with the option to associate or not.

First, Thanks to anyone, all the works has been done by Archeron, i only repacked the program. @RickSteele, thank you for your effort and your testing, they have been helpful i referred to the original installer 7.8.5.0 english trial, but i does not matter because i have found the culprit, Nero has removed the option to configure the windows media audio in his new version, i don´t know why. In order to see it, change the msaxp.dll of the new version to the msaxp.dll of the version 7.7.5.1, you will see that you can configure windows media audio later. Also the duplicate of nerodigital.dll in the decoders is only in the new version of the library Nerodigital.dll. Also i have added Mausau plug-ins and videocd support, and the option to select them or not. @acetken I have added the MauSau Audio Plug-ins. @Mal15 I don´t know if there is a need to a tutorial, because all you need is on the Webpage of Archeron, only put the files in suitable directories and compile them after. @Dynaletik Before in the program it has been pointed to the default directory "ProgramFiles" to execute nero.exe, but now it is pointed to any directory where the program is installed. In a few hours i will upload the new release R3. Here are the changes made: Added: MauSau Audio Plug-ins and also the option to choice them or not. Added: the option to select VideoCD support or not Fixed: the value of "MissingFilesState" changes from "0" to "1" when Nero is activated. Now it has been fixed to "0". Fixed: it always creates the desktop shortcut although it is not selected. Some minor fixes.

@RickSteele Thank you very much for your help, referring to your annotations: It changes when the program is activated, but i will fix, i think i have the solution. I will fix it. Also it happens the same in the version of Nero Burning (I refer to the original install nero), anyway i will have a look in it, also any solution from anyone is appreciated. @acetken I will reincorporate them. Released the R2, i will post the link of the download in the fisrt post. Fixed the bug: it does not find the nero.exe when it is installed in other directory than the default. Some minor fixes. @RickSteele You can download the R2 above.

@RickSteele Have you installed it over an older version? Would you tell me please in which directory has been installed Nero?

I think is normal because the new version will usually overwrite the setting, so you had to have saved your settings before in a .reg file and execute it after installing the new version. Like i have seen much people does not use nero express, i remove its shortcut and icons, but nero express is usually there.

You can install it manually checking what you want, but if you want to install it silenty and remove coverdesigner and wave editor you don´t have to write it in the section components. An example: I want to install only Nero Burning, InfoTool and DriveSpeed, so i must type in the cmd: Nero7850_eng_lite_R1.exe /Silent /Components="Nero_Core,Nero_Toolkit\Nero_InfoTool,Nero_Toolkit\Nero_DriveSpeed" /User="YourUserNameHere" /Company="YourCompanyNameHere" /Serial="YourSerialNumber" Not necessary The text above are the instructions for installing the program silently, you can use the commands you want, it is not necessary to save it as a text.

I could fix the error "FATAL ERROR" in Windows XP using a valid serial not the DEMO serial via an external script. But i could not fix the error using a DEMO serial because it tells me it was expired. If you want to install it and works well you must enter your valid Serial. to install it silently you must type /Silent /Serial="xxxx-xxx....". I wonder if there is anyone who could fix the error in the DEMO version? Thanks

I can repackage my version with only nero burning and nero toolkit. If you want a version like Lite i can do it later.
