  1. Wow thanks for answering you two. I am a diehard Windows Vista Fan and I grew up using Windows Vista. I think they should have treated Vista better and not always combine it with XP when it comes to EOL's (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Office, LibreOffice..). I mean XP = 2001 ; Vista = 2006/7.. Vista should have received Office 2013 and IE10. I think IE9 is the longest supported Internet Browser in the world, as Server 2008 will receive IE9 updates till 2023, making IE9 unbelievable 12 years old. Microsoft should have definitly given Server 2008 IE10 or 11.. they treated this Server like s***. Talking about IE10, will it ever be possible to port IE10 from Windows 7 or early betas of Windows 8 to Windows Vista? And can you please upload a screenshot of Firefox 78 running on Vista? It feels like ages when I saw a modern browser on Vista.
  2. Dear win32! Is Firefox 78 working with your modifications? Do you have a list of programs that you want to make compatible with Vista? I would really like to install Office 2013 on Vista. It would also be cool if Spotify and OneDrive would work
  3. I also have a Toshiba Satellite A350-134 from 2009, which ran Windows Vista Home Premium at the beginning. I havent used that Laptop since 2013 I guess. I recently used it again and thab I realized that Vista is unsupported for 2 years now. So I upgraded it from Vista to Windows 7 (which might be also a bad decision as the Upgrade took ~2 Hours and Win7 is ending soon). I dont really like Windows 7's shell, so I used this transformation pack and I am REALLY impressed! It feels like Windows Vista SP3 or a refurbished Vista that is so much faster. Windows 8.1 will be my next upgrade, as Windows 8.1 is the fastest OS on this old Laptop. Windows 7 Boot takes over a minute, while 8.1 took 26 seconds. Specs: Model: Satellite A350-134 Ram: 3 GB Memory: 150 GB HDD Processor: Pentium T3400
  4. Hey guys! I saw a Video recently, where Windows 7 got transformed into Windows Vista. I tried it out on a Virtual Machine and I am very impressed by that. It Looks 100 % like Windows Vista, even the Branding is original Vista. As you also know Windows 7 supports Internet Explorer 10/11, Office 2013/2016, Microsoft Security Essentails, latest Chrome, latest Firefox, latest Skype, latest Spotify... It feels like Vista supports those Applications now too I will add a screenshot.
  5. Hey Vista Community! As many of you know, Office is no longer supported on Vista as of version 2013. Because of many reasons, including Design, OneDrive connection and Support, I would really like to have Office 2013 rather than 2010. The installer always gives me some dll errors and I know that it is officially not supported and only for Windows 7+... But does anyone know how to run Office 2013 somehow on Vista? Is there any hack or edit?
  6. Hey guys! As many sources already announced it, Microsoft will update Internet Explorer 10 to Internet Explorer 11 on Windows Server 2012 and Windows Embedded 8. If that happens, IE11 can also be installed on Windows 8 because they have the same build number (9200). At least backporting will be easy https://www.osnews.com/story/129296/bringing-internet-explorer-11-to-windows-server-2012-and-windows-embedded-8-standard/
  7. Hi guys! I'm new in this Forum and I really love Windows Vista. I use it since 2007 or 2008 I dont quite remember. I always hated it when people talked bad about Vista. I dont think that I have to explain, why Vista was a huge Milestone in the history of Windows and that Vista's successors all base on Vista. My project is to port Chrome 51 or 52 to Vista. Personally, I dont think that it is impossible. Chrome 50 works very well, 51 opens but doesnt loads pages, 52 crashes completly. It is because there are new API's used that Vista doesnt support. I always wanted to know which exact file it is that blocks Vista. There are several backports that base on Chromium 54 for example, that run with Vista, but what did the developers do? Is it possible to install Windows 7's APIs in Vista or what do I have to change to run the software. Same goes for IE10, Office 2013, Firefox 54 and WMP12. I really want to have Office 2013&IE 10 on Vista because IE10 renders pages wayyy better than IE9. I already have the plan to backport some Windows 7 feauters to Vista.
