Sure... you can buy her a bunch of expensive stuff. Aside from that... I think I've got everything covered!

Yeah I still have not had time to code... but I do plan to soon (I hope). Paul_365 is gonna help develope the later releases... so you guys can expect a big update next time. I want to get a final Windows xp powerpacker out soon... so we can begin developing Windows PowerPacker. Windows PowerPacker will probably be a pay version of the program... but Windows XP PowerPacker will remain free. The only reason I decided to make Windows PowerPacker a pay version is because the donation thing did not work at all in Windows XP PowerPacker. I only got 1 donation in the very beginning... and that was the end of donations. So you can see how I was kinda burnt out on coding for a while... but that doesn't mean I am gonna stop. I hope that people will buy the Windows PowerPacker version though. It will make my life a little easier. The wife has started complaining about me coding so much! LOL! So if I make a little profit... it satisfies her. Hope you all understand.

Sounds like they were not integrated. If I were you I would put a pause at the end of my batch to see if there are any errors reported. Also you can remove /quiet so that you can see what is being done.
-
Why not zip up the file and then the user can extract the files after they download them.

Grab the RVM Integrator. Then grab the .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0 GuirunonceEX install addon This should be exactly what you need. .NET 2.0 is a tricky one. It has a bug in it which makes it mess up installing using svcpack. For other addons you can use with the integrator check out these 2 links: Addon Pack Downloads Program Addons Download List
-
You can use the "RyanVM Integrator" and you can use the WGA addon found on RyanVM's forums.
-
You can try it. Use the Custom Name option. But remember you have to manually edit the cdshell.ini file in the boot directory.
-
Well... I got a copy of the PC Utilities Magazine. Looks really good! Only flaw in it is that it says that you need to download the driverpack files and extract them with 7zip... which is a no no. Other then that... it is a full page review and it is a very good review as well. Any other magazines you guys have seen it in???

Latest BTS packs (07 Dec 05): identified issues
Siginet replied to tchuyev's topic in The General Stuff
1. I had the same issue a while back. It is a limitation of XP Home. You can not use the Administrator Account as the only account. You must creat a second account. Use the oobe file to create a second account and your problems will dissappear. Trust me... it is a limitation of XP home... but XP Pro is not troubled by this problem. 2. I have rarley seen this... but I have seen this. 3. I'm sure Bashrat will add support for this one soon. 4. I haven't noticed this... but if it is possible I would agree with you. 5. Yes I seem to have a D folder, a recent folder... and something else I have to manually delete sometimes. I have a feeling the folders are in use when they are to be deleted so they fail to be deleted. But... all of these bugs are minor errors in my opinion. The DPs have come a long way. Who knows... someday we may have a perfect set. -

REQ | Unattended slipstreaming of DriverPacks?
Siginet replied to dougiefresh's topic in The General Stuff
I have actually tried that but it doesn't work for me. How exactly is the input.txt file supposed to be formated? For instance I would like to use "R" for Runonce "937" for the number used for runonce and "N" to not keep the drivers. What exactly should by input.txt file look like? Also... should I edit the batch files to remove every instance of "Pause"? Thanks for the help djbe. -

I think I found a bug. d1,hdaudres.dll d1,hdaudio.sys d1,hdaudio.inf d1,hdaudbus.sys d1,hdaudbus.inf d1,hdashcut.exe d1,hdaprop.dll These files need to be added to a [FloppyFiles.*] section in the dosnet.inf file so that the driverpacks will work in a multiboot disk.

Release: XP integrate, slipstream drivers and create ISO
Siginet replied to Ghostrider's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
Thanks Ghostrider. This is exactly what I am trying to do with my programs. I want to make everything 100% Unattended in the creation of multiboot disks. In the near future the RVMIntegrator and Windows XP PowerPacker will have features that will help link them together without the need of many batch files. The RVMIntegrator will be able to call an external program (Windows XP PowerPacker or any other program) with any specified switches. It will run it after it finishes integration. This way it will be as simple as making your ini file and having Windows XP PowerPacker called from within the integrator. Windows XP PowerPacker will also have the capability of calling external programs as well. I plan to have an option to save your ini file into any specified name. And give the option to load a different ini file as well. I also want to work on having PowerPacker automatically edit the BTS cmd file to make it unattended and hide the cmd windows. I also want to make sure the hex editing portions are completely hidden as well... to help keep the windows popups away during packing. -
Prob: Multiboot build of OEM Home/Pro boot error
Siginet replied to Ghostrider's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
Make sure the IDENT files are in the ROOT\XPPC (or current directory of your install files.) I think there may be a bug in PowerPacker that causes this. I am not 100% it is caused by PowerPacker... but I have had the same problem a couple of times in the past. But if you copy the IDENT files there you will not have a problem. I will soon be working on coding the next version of WinXP PowerPacker... but my time has been limited latley. I will be having someone help me code the next version as well (Hopefully). This person is very good at what he does and I feel he will bring a lot to the Windows XP PowerPacker program. So stay tuned. -
It does not work for me. For some reason no matter what I do... if I put ENFORCECACHE=1 in my setup.ini or call it from the commandline with that... it comes up with this error: Fatal Error During Installation. Andi it does not install. All I can think is it has a problem with the amount of disk space for some reason... but I have over 50GB free on both hard drives. I am using the new setup as well. Anybody else having this issue? Anyone know what may be going wrong?

Office2K3 SP2 slipstreamed - Keep Install Cache?
Siginet replied to Zxian's topic in Application Installs
I am in the same boat. I can't seem to figure out why I never get a cached folder. -
hehe... yeah I saw that. But how often do people download from there anyways?
-
Hmmm... whenever I try to do this I get an error after a while that says: md5sum: ZE561406.CAB No such file or directory Error: [object Error] Any ideas what may cause this? I am using a SP1 disk to begin with... and I slipstreamed the SP2 files to it. Could this error be because I am starting with SP1 instead of a disk that has no SP? This looks very interesting... but I am having no luck so far. Edit: Well... It looks like that error is normal. I went ahead and finished the tutorial and everything seems to be working fine! Thanks a lot!! This is awsome! It is a pretty confusing tutorial... but it does work. One thing missing from the tutorial is to make sure you copy the setup.exe file to the SORT directory.

You can even make something read the Layout.inf file in the i386 directory. Look in the [sTRINGS] section for the value of the "cd2name" key. You can even check the Service pack by looking at the value of the "spcdname" or "spcdtagfilei" keys. I currently use these methods in the latest RVMIntegrator. ;

Wow! Mag 2! That's awsome!!!
