MY XP ISO is AS Small As 270MB with openoffice + all myapps(Small apps like firefox, sumatra pdf + other like img burn) + windows themes + win8.1 Transformation pack Slipstreamed+ All hotfixes+MSvisual runtime till 2015 + all netframework + Wic and XPS If you know making entries.ini for nlite /rvmi (It is toooo easy) you can edit XP on fly. In RyanVM forum, you can get many good update packs and addons.

I donot prefer wim base installation as it is imposible to slipstream directly. I XP / 2k3 , Patched files are directly replaced directly in i386 folder by RvMi & Nlite during update pack intrigation and your iso size will be as small as less than 700mb but everything wrong goes with WIM, you have to intrgate msu files , which are impossible to slipstream directly and can increase your iso size more than a DVD.

I believe Above statement and those are true enouf I use ssd tweaker & Intel SSD ToolBox . I use many modified Systemfiles to improve cleartype font optimization and i replace xp memory manger with 2k3 datacentre R2 ones. I use nlite for Slipstreamig my asmedia usb3.0 driver and sata driver(AHCI) I already unlocked PAE upto 128GB so that i can use more than 3.25 gb ram in my 32 bit XP. You can easily run xp in mordern hardware only some workaround is needed

does firefox 46 is last for XP? FRiends , Guys there at cromium not working as opensoarce , they are forcing to buy new os.
