    Hello

Just new here as i'm trying to installing with Windows 8.1 on my Acer Swift 3 SF314-54 w/ Intel i3 7020U (Kaby Lake) when after installing i facing Blue Screen error code "INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR" But i don't know what problem is this i even changed to AHCI mode and Disable Secure boot! Anyone have know to fixed this or having faced like this? See on the pics this is happening after installation!

    1. I only modded iso with Intel WiFi Driver and Intel Serial IO Driver from Intel

    2. Dual booting from Windows 11

Please reboot into your Windows 8.1 install media. Once in, please press Shift+F10 to open up good-ole Command Prompt. Type in Notepad to open it up. Go to File->Open and in the box that opens, change the file types from .txt to All Files. Navigate it to C:\Windows\System32\drivers. Inside here, find a file named IntelPEP.sys and delete this. Exit out of everything and Windows should now load normally. After you update, this file will reappear, so you will have to repeat this once more.

  2. Laptop: Dell Precision 7530, Intel Core i7, 8th Gen UHD630 Graphics, 64GB of RAM, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 1507

I was wondering if anyone has gotten to work under 8.1 the 8th generation Coffee/Cannon Lake Intel Serial IO I2C Host Controller (A368/A369): The device ID's for these devices are as follow: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A368&REV_10, and PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A369&REV_10

Without these, the Dell Touchpad (ALPS) does not work. Here's the associated driver for it and what I believe is the HID-complient device ID for it: HID\VEN_DELL&DEV_0831&Col01 (Dell Touchpad) and HID\Vid_044E&Pid_1212&Col01&Col01 (HID driver)

I have all the drivers, including UHD630 thanks to Cannonkong over at win-raid, working except for the touchpad, meaning I have to use USB mouse while booted into the 8.1 portion. Windows 10 1507 (10240) works like a charm, which I have on a separate hard drive within this laptop, and can access without swapping drives out (I have 3 M.2 slots in this thing), if you need any more info about the devices. Thanks in advanced for anyone who can help me out here!

So if I install edge on Windows 7, copy everything from it and put it on vista, it should work? Would the same be true for Opera GX? I will test it too. Many thanks for the reply.

Yeah. Should also work for Opera GX too, although don't expect miracles with that one. Be warned, if your Edge experience is anything like mine, it will open on the first try, but then subsequent times will most likely be unsuccessful.

Hello, I'm new here. I'm using Vista Kernel Extend october 2022. The equipment in question is a 2007 notebook that came with Windows Vista Home Premium. Now I installed Ultimate. I wanted to know what I need to do to run Microsoft Edge on it. I also wanted to know if there's a way to install Opera GX. Thanks!

Install Edge on a Windows 7 computer and then copy the files from Program Files to the Program Files on Vista. Be warned, it is buggy. It will most likely start on the first try, but subsequent tries may not be successful.

  5. Getting later Intel graphics for the Intel HD 4000 working properly may be very tricky. If one gets it to work, that means any Intel graphics from Haswell and up will also work with Vista (Haswell graphics do work with Vista if you use the XP version, but you get no Aero interface. Kaby Lake and later may also work by simply grabbing the mods for them and installing away, but don't quote me on this), although you will still have the Haswell+ bugs, which won't resolve by simply installing the graphics driver (otherwise the person that got the XP Haswell driver to work under Vista would have seen all problems disappear).

I also sent you a PM too!

  6. Has anyone tried to backport this to Windows 2000? It is currently not possible to use ACPI under Windows 2000 if your laptop (and possibly Desktop too) has an InsydeH2O BIOS, even if you use @blackwingcat's modded ACPI that supports Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, and Haswell, as trying to do so causes setup to freeze at "Setup is starting Windows 2000" and there are no ACPI options in the F5 menu, forcing the user to choose Standard PC. Trying to change from Standard PC to ACPI PC from Device Manager throws a 0x07b BSoD upon reboot. Windows XP installs perfectly under this BIOS, so if we could backport this ACPI to 2000, it should allow it to work under InsydeH2O BIOS, but idk how to even go about that.

If I can confirm that the wrappers will allow me to add the functions without breaking applications, then those functions will return.

But have you tried 64 bit DX11 applications and games? If those don't work then it must be something else.

Sorry for double post, but two DirectX11 games that work with Vista do not work with 18.3.4 AMD installed.

I haven't yet. Hopefully those functions can return.

  9. @win32 I was wondering if any of the following will be added to x86 user32.dll: DisplayConfigGetDeviceInfo, GetDisplayConfigBufferSizes, and QueryDisplayConfig

These break DX11 with the newly modded AMD Radeon graphics drivers as AMD 17.10.2 introduced new functions within atidxx32.dll. The drivers work for the most part (we get Aero Glass and what not), but not DX11.

Is it possible to make that driver with the control panel ? Thanks .

I was wondering the same thing for AMD Radeon. We have the graphics driver working, but not the control panel for it. Also of note, if you have AMD Radeon mixed with anything Intel Haswell and newer, the AMD driver will not work unless the Intel graphics can be made to work as well.

Installed this on my RX 480 and it works well. Thank you for this.

Don't thank me, thank K4Sum1! He's the one who put in the hard work. I'm just sharing the drivers, lol. I am glad it worked for you.

Also, if you happen to have switchable AMD/Nvidia graphics, the following thread may help you in getting the Nvidia graphics working.

Hello there Jakob99, you are correct it is a AMD Radeon R9 200 Video Card running with an X99 Intel in that screenshot. && That's an interesting thought, I did some rather minor research on my end and my only theory is you could perhaps compare or maybe even somehow make use of older Windows XP x64 drivers pertaining to the AM1 or FM2/FM2+ APU chips. They might be similar enough in some aspects... (This might also apply to the R7/R9 AMD GPUs). Though this is just an idea I am throwing out... As far as the APUs, I've only ever owned an AM1 out of the two. The AM1 comes with R3 graphics. If I somehow had this particular computer you speak of, or one having that AMD Radeon R4 Stoney Ridge chip, I would help test that for you. Good luck! && Another thing, that Extended Kernel of yours is quite nice, keep up the great work. I never thought I'd see the day when there was such a thing for this lovely OS.

Same! I didn't create this Extended Kernel. That goes to Skulltrail192. Maybe it will work. XP uses XPDM instead of WDDM, so it may be difficult "translating" the required stuff over.

  13. Has anyone here tried this out? If so, did you get "The system cannot find the specified file" while installing this through Device Manager? The Cubis, who is on Discord, tried these and got that message. I set up a new Vista install on a separate hard drive and got the same message despite these having literally worked for me previously. K4Sum1, who created these, also got that same message on his machine as well. We all can't seem to figure out what would be causing this error to suddenly appear as I literally tested them on a 500GB SSD and they worked fine, but when tried after installing them onto a 4TB SSD, they don't.

Basically, that message means the driver will work, but that it cannot find a file it needs, and these won't install until it finds said file, but everything needed appears to be there. There is also no (Code#) following that error either (E.G. (Code 10: This device cannot start), (Code 39: Windows cannot load the driver files for this device. It may be corrupted or missing), or (Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported errors)) Keep in mind, these require the Extended Kernel to be installed first. If someone here could figure out why Device Manager throws that error, even with Driver Signature Enforcement disabled, please do chime in below. We are all at a loss here as to how they worked, as seen here http://windowsenthusiasts1.epizy.com/ but now they suddenly do not despite no changes having been made to the files and the driver linked to above literally being the one that worked successfully on the 500GB SSD.

EDIT: The Cubis problem is solved! Download and install these: https://www.mediafire.com/file/lxzpv2afvxzzy6h/AMD_Assorted_Drivers_Pack.zip/file

These do not have Stoney Ridge at the moment as K4Sum1 needs to add them into it. Once he does, I'll fix the driverpack to include the non-Stoney Ridge drivers and the Stoney Ridge ones.

I have included Stoney Ridge in them myself and can confirm that works. I'll work on getting everything uploaded and the links changed later on.

  14. I've hinted about it on here within the last week, and I can be proud to say the AMD Radeon Graphics driver for Windows Vista is finally available. There are also several other drivers that work with Vista that are usually bundled with hardware that features support for Windows 7 as well as the AMD Vista chipset drivers which still work with AMD Radeon's. To make this significantly easier for everyone, I included everything in a simple driver pack. Make sure Extended Kernel latest release is installed before installing graphics driver! You can get everything here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/lxzpv2afvxzzy6h/AMD_Assorted_Drivers_Pack.zip/file

Most of these will also work with Windows XP x64 edition as well. The included ACPI.SY_ needs to be extracted with 7zip and integrated into an XP 64-bit media. The drivers that I could not get working under XP, despite their Vista success was: AMD IOMMU, PSP 2.0, and Realtek Card reader. The others like SMBus and USB 3.0 worked just fine. The graphics driver obviously does not work with XP, and trying to port it to XP's XDM (pre-WDDM) driver module may be hard to do.

I hope these drivers are of use to people. Also, if your specific Radeon/chipset device is not in any of the INFs, a simple INF mod to add in references to it will suffice, after which you can install away. Also note, these are considered Beta drivers, but no problems, knock on wood, have been reported. Please also note I did not mod the Radeon Graphics driver. Credit goes to K4Sum1 for that.

EDIT: There is a tutorial that shows you how to get AMD 17.10.1 working with Windows Vista. You can find it here: http://windowsenthusiasts1.epizy.com/AMD17101WindowsVista.html Inside there is also a link if you need support.

  15. This will be the last time I harp on this, but since this ties into the Extended Kernel, that's why I mention all this. Anywho, I created an AMD Driver pack that is compatible with AMD Radeon's such as R4 Stoney Ridge and Rx xxx (Rx 570, etc). This includes everything needed to run Vista (and even XP 64-bit) on Radeon hardware. To run all this (except for the Realtek, chipset and touchpad drivers), Extended Kernel must be installed. You can get all of this here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/lxzpv2afvxzzy6h/AMD_Assorted_Drivers_Pack.zip/file

P.S. The graphics driver is in Beta. I'll open a new, separate thread for further discussion on this.

  16. Based on the screenshot, you have an AMD Radeon R9 200 series in conjunction with Intel, am I right, or is it something else? I was wondering if the AMD Radeon R4 Stoney Ridge could be made to work with Windows XP x64 bit edition. This is present in such computers like Acer Aspire A315-21. K4Sum1 got its graphics driver to work with Windows Vista (still in Beta) so I was hoping it could also be made to work with XP 64 bit edition. Here's the photo for proof as well as the specs for anybody interested in looking into this: http://windowsenthusiasts1.epizy.com/images/AMD2.JPG

I do have the one-core api Extended Kernel set up on my 64-bit XP install on the A315-21. If you are unfamiliar with this, you can familiarize yourself here: https://github.com/Skulltrail192/One-Core-API-Binaries

I also have the drivers for Elan Touchpad and Realtek Audio/Ethernet working oob. It also required Fernando's modded AMD SATA driver along with a modded ACPI.sys file integrated. Thanks in advanced to any interested parties.

Unfortunately Steam does not yet. The 32 bit configuration is still undesireable and needs to be redone.

I forgot that Steam was 32-bit based. At least I also have 7 and 8.1 on my laptop to play it until it works with Vista and XP x64 (through one-core api)

It has passed its objectives after months of development and testing, so it is now released, with the objective of the enhanced compatibility and driver support.

I just wanted to extend my thanks for the Extended Kernel! I like being able to run the latest Firefox now! Also, does Steam work with the latest kernel or are we still a ways off from that.

  19. AMD Radeon Stoney Ridge and related processors (as in all the ones listed in the Windows 7 graphics driver) now has a Vista compatible graphics driver, which means Windows Vista will work, even on AMD's bought in 2019 provided they are based on Stoney Ridge or related processors. It does require Extended Kernel, but unfortunately, it is not quite ready for release yet, and I'm just Beta testing it. The developer is hoping to release it real soon, so please watch here for when it is released. You can see the driver in action here: http://windowsenthusiasts1.epizy.com/images/AMD2.JPG
