  1. well u could make a program that will always be running, it will be stuck in an infinite loop where once a day it will make a backup and then a variable will be set to add 1 to itself.
  2. yes for amd, the starter of this thread wants amd. i prefer asus for intel. and the best power supplies for the dfi nf4 boards are the ocz powerstream 520/600, PC P&C 510 Express/SLI, and Enermax 600W (New) Noisetaker 600W thermaltake and antec are still nice powersupplies and afaik no one would laugh at you if you got one, there are just better ones.
  3. dont use IE take a look at opera or firefox
  4. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20823 this is the best guide ive seen, read it a few times... it will take a while
  5. then i would suggest redoing ur raid setup. what size are your clusters? over at the dfi forums they are shown that a 4:1 ratio is the best. so a 64k stripe and a 16k cluster is what u should be looking at.
  6. so ur suggesting an opteron for him? i have an opteron 170 and i love it. but i am suggesting for him to wait, thats all.
  7. what is your vid card temp while playing? http://www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/ this is a good program for doing that
  8. try out nlite, i think that swf may be for the little anitmation when you type in all of you info. nlite will be able to automatically do all of this for u.
  9. i will most likely get raid sometime but just with a sataII drive my loading times are pretty fast
  10. 2gigs of ram is a must for todays games, you will benefit from this the most raid only really improves loading times..
  11. you could set the image as the background image for a <td> or however u have it set up
  12. the only reason for an fx is to overclock, so go for dfi
  13. dfi just doesnt like generic ram... asus is good tho
  14. i have the dfi ultra-d , its a great overclocking board dfi also has the best forum for any hardware manufacturer that i have seen so there are plenty of people to help you out what cpu do u plan on getting? go for an opteron. and if u need help on a new comp then let us know.
  15. depends on ur motherboard, if it allows overclocking then u can also underclock it
  16. thats a pretty good overlclock and probably the highest that u will reach. u can try 2500 if u want but that will just require too much voltage.
  17. lol, ide love to see the temp on that card if it succesfully completes a 3dmark2006 test. how about giving 2003 a try?
  18. i beleive that there is a registry key but im not sure which one. im sure that someone will post it soon, but there is a way.
  19. check event manager for an error how much ram do u have? odds are that if you have no clue what vid card you have, that it really sucks, so you may be looking for an upgrade its too bad, oblivion is such a great game im almost done with it
  20. ya ur right. refund is the best way then. and what is the idle temp?
  21. well it has to be compatible sinc eits pci-e do u have the latest drivers?
  22. also try another cable
  23. i think it helps. i would just get it b/c u will most likely be looking to get x64 in a year when games will support it. driver issues are not an issue for me, i found them for everything. my digital camera and video camera drivers were autmatically installed by windows. printer has a 64bit driver. i even found a driver for my xbox controller.
