Okay, I downloaded Nero-7.0.1.4b_eng_no_yt.exe, and ran it. At the FIRST screen of the installer, I tried to click Next to continue setup but nothing happened. I checked my Task Manager( currently using Sysinternal's Process Explorer ) and I saw "msiexec.exe" appearing and ended in an instant while clicking the Next button several times. Is there a solution for this ? EDIT : Alright, its working now.. after running Windows Update and installing the Windows Installer 3.1 update.

hey yes, i agree, all images, wallpapers, etc need to be improved cuz IMO, its all too plain..

check your Environment Variables ( Right click on My Computer -> Properties -> "Advanced" Tab -> Environment Variables ), under "System Variables" and "PATH" under "Variables" column.. check if its this -> %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem I had this problem before, and other forums helped me solve this problem. and its not XPize Bug

Hey, it looks normal before u use XPize because the "UNKNOWN" file icon is totally white and with the background of the OPEN WITH icon as white, but after u XPized, the "UNKNOWN" file icon became 3D with a BLUE color in it and the ICON that u associated with OPEN WITH has a white blackground but not a blue background .. it would be normal if microsoft should not put any background colors on the OPEN WITH ICON ..

USE DOSBOX ................ lol.. if its for games only, then I would not be able to help ..

Thanks, Cartoonite but I didnt want to reformat or anything like I said in the 1st sentence... well, anyway I fixed it by disabling all services using msconfig and enable those necessary services... SO MUCH OF THE PROBLEMS CAME FROM THOSE USELESS SERVICES.

Ok, guys, dont tell me to reformat cuz theres lots of stuff inside. Heres my problem: 1) Everytime i start my computer, when at the login screen, there will always have a BEEP sound from my PC speaker. Is this a service unable to load problem ? 2) Same as "1)" but after logging in, theres still the windows sounds ding.wav 3) I tweaked XP a lot but shutting down still **** hell slow.. especially at the Logging Off message. Some1 please help me with this problem, its **** annoying and irritating when I am not used to it.
