@Antitoon, save this as .reg, import into your registry Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM]"CustomThemeAtlas"="C:\\AeroGlass\\theme1.png"or use Aero Glass Cofigurator For Windows 8.1 *it's CustomThemeAtlas, not CustomThemeResource and create new string value on DWM, not key.

@Aloha, yeah, that's what I mean. When that icon appeared, if we pressed shut down button, windows would apply the updates first and then shut down. Nothing special about that actually, that's normal

@Aloha, when we run windows update and restart is required, that icon will be appeared on start menu. I don't what to say, maybe it's like a sign that windows will apply the updates before completely shut down. don't worry, feel free to ask

I found something interesting, I think @Aloha, about changing Start Screen icon, after fresh install of SIB+, I couldn't get it working immediately, even after restart the explorer. But then I tried to hide Start Screen shortcut first then display it again, and then tried to change the icon, restart the explorer. yeah, it works @Aloha, you can try this.

@MrGRiM I mean on extended list, it's still looks flat like the default. I prefer it could be look like the hover on recently program opened. afaik, some current available style have different looks between recently program opened and extended list on hover, default or flyout menu. (e.g win7style, AeroByDesign)

if the style of recently program opened could similar with style of all program, aero v3 would be great

I personally prefer new Aero 8 style from MrGRiM than the older one though I'm still not familiar with the looks of arrow

@wmn use Group Policy or regedit, create new DWORD "EnableInSafeMode" at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\StartIsBack, value 1 with base hexadecimal

as it's still RC, it's recommended to keep it open or just minimize it

sorry I'm not ace2 you will get them once you run symbols.cmd and make sure your computer connect to internet and have Windows SDK for Windows 8.1 installed on your computer if you use 32-bit OS, change "C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Debuggers\x64" to "C:\Program Files\Windows Kits\8.1\Debuggers\x86" good luck

it's not critical but Win 8.1 app like Reader, Photos, etc has lost its icon with OldNewExplorer installed normal edit: if I install it then open explorer, it can be applied immediately. if I uninstall it, explorer need to be restarted first so it can be back to normal is that normal behavior? if not, I hope you'd fix this or make it restart the explorer each time doing install or uninstall thanks

I uninstall, restart explorer, then install it again and now it works fine I tried many times before and got not responding, not sure why thanks now it's fine

hi MrGRiM :hi:, thanks for this configurator I just tried this. when I have OldNewExplorer (by Tihiy) installed, configurator get not responding when I try to browse theme atlas, but fine without OldNewExplorer. I wonder if it just me. Maybe you could check it also on your side thanks a lot

changing icon of start apps folder runs smoothly when using default style of all program but not when using flyout menu (xp style) will you add support for png orb?

hi, bigmuscle thanks for rc1 so now I can try it on 32-bit windows I currently use SIB+ by Tihiy and it has a feature to change color of taskbar. It doesn't work anymore since I try Aero Glass rc1 from you. Is it possible to make an exception for it? thanks
