Does anyone know where to get the component list because you can't get it on the site if you don't register... @Mosselman or @anyone Do you think installrite could do the trick?(just to know..)

It came from the Diskeeper Pro 9.exe...it was in my C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\Diskeeper Professional\{352A9601-E43B-4CFF-BCA4-CF719BBD083D}

I only have the Diskeeper Professional Edition.msi from my Downloaded installations directory...is it possible to create a silent install with only this file?...And is so, do i use the common switches for msi files?

@jbm But as I said earlier, on my Pc my drive is partitionned in too 2 drives so i can't use repartition in my final UA WinXP CD because i don't want to delete the partition.

Well im installing from my iso that i made with Nlite. I will add repartition line to my winnt file and test it in my VMware...I always create a new VR Machine in VMware when i test my iso so im guessing that the drive it create's is unformated.

Ok i will try that...Thx For filesystem setting, is convertNTFS not working for the same reason?

@Astalavista where do you think i've been looking in the first place... and it doesnt tell me why it isnt working. @Cartoonite I cant do repartition=yes because i have data on my other partition( On my real PC). As for testing it on my VMware, there is only 1 partition so repartition will work.

I added the line Autopartition=1 under [data] and under [unattended] i added Filesystem= convertNTFS but when I start the installations, it still ask me what partition i was to install on (there is only 1) and what type of fromat i want to do...

ok...What im saying is that i have already made silent installers of certain programs with installrite and i will add them to my XP unattended CD that im making and i will test it using VMware to see if it works

sorry...i was a little drunk on that last response...(now in feeling better) What i was saying is that i will test the install packages that i made with installrite with my unattended XP that i will install on a Virtual machine... to see if they work...of not then i will use switches. I will be doing the rest of my silent install with switches that i find on the sticky in this forum.

ok...well im doing the installrite with simple programs. I'm going to try it out on my VMware to see what it gives...and i'll also try it with the installer switches(the one's that i can find) to see if there is any differences.

So what your saying is that its good for little softwares...things like norton and other apps that are complicated, we should use the installer switches?

So it would be better to use installrite with programs that are not complicated and fussy about silent installs?....like nero is

Gadwin Printscreen

Im looking for the way to install Gadwin Printscreen and dBpowerAMP Music Converter silently but i cants seem to find the switches for them. I dont know what type of installer they use and i tried typying a /? and /help in a cmd window and it just starts the program. Here are the screenshots of both.

I used installrite to make a silent install of DVD labs 1.3.1. Tested the new installer on my Pc and it works. Now my questions are: How do I use this installer in my runonceex.cmd? Has anyone tried this method before because i can't seem to find anything on the forum about it. Is this method good for most programs? If i use istallers made by Installrite, will i still need certain switches for no reboot and so forth? Does anyone know goes about creating the new installer beside the options you get to choose for the installer? Like does it take all the info you entered during the installation( startmenu group, location to install too) or does it just use default settings?

I just downloaded the setup.inf...now where do i put it?...im using the RunOnceEX.cmd method of the unattended guide and where do i add the commands to run it?

This site is great and everyone is really helpful. I don't know if this would be a good idea, but there are many solutions for one problem(ex: WMP10 unattended), There should be a thread that regroups only solutions (like the first post of Titou2k in this thread ) that work... without comments in between post that you can go to find a solution right away without having to read all the results of everybody. In each solution you could have a link to the thread on which the solution was found. Its just an idea that i think will help newbs find what there looking for faster instead of having to look through multiple threads.

Why would you want to have Win embedded ?

Well i have VMware...my real question is... are the files the same on the english and french CD?...it just because i know that once the slipstream to SP2 is done i will have a WIN51IP.SP2 or something of the sort...
