1. here is my setting file for nlite that could maybe help in solving my problem settings.ini
2. I have made my Office shrink to 55MB and tested it on a machine that has a non-modified XP installed and it worked fine. Next I tried it on my Windows installed using my unattended CD (iso image) it and it doesnt work. Im using OfficeXP Pro Frontpage. I get msgs during the installation saying that I'm missing C:\files\system\ctfmon.exe .......................\dimm.dll ........................\msctfp.dll and some ODBC things, and for some reason at a certain point it asks for my Windows XP SP2 CD and it says that my Unattended CD isnt good. Im guessing that it worked on the non-modified XP because it has the all the files backed up in the C:\windows. Can i just add the files that are missing from my office(not shrunk) or will that mess up the shrunken office? Here is my Unattended.mst Unattended.MST
3. @Astalavista ok can you explain how pskill/taskill would work for my prob of Fabertoys and Slimbrowser? I have PSkill so how would i use it in my runonceex.cmd(syntax)? Example: REG ADD %KEY%\006 /VE /D "WinISO 5.3" /f REG ADD %KEY%\006 /V 1 /D "%cdrom%\apps\WinISO\winiso53.exe /VERYSILENT /SP-" /f REG ADD %KEY%\007 /VE /D "WinISO Task kill" /f REG ADD %KEY%\007 /V 1 /D "taskkill /F /IM WinISO.exe" /f taskkill would close the start menu group windows that pop's up after the installation? and in my example, is that the right syntax?
4. I went to your link and i've read that before on the net;)...as for my prob, it doesnt solve it. I have been able to install all the apps above silently. The problem is at the end of the installations...Fabertoys and Slimbrowser have the startup group poping up after the silent install...Gadwin Printscreen gives me a language selection before starting the silent install and M$ powertoys after the silent instal the HTML readme pop's up... Using cleanup.cmd and taskill/pskill wont do a thing because all these probs happen right after the programs install's...
5. Im having problems with some appplications that i are bieng installed silently during my windows setup. I've search but have found nothing. Here are the programs: - Gadwin Printscreen (wise installer) - Belarc Advisor (Wise installer) - Fabertoys(Inno installer) - Slimbrowser (Nullsoft installer) - M$ Powertoys(Windows XP Crativity Fun Pack)(Installshield with MSI Installer) Gadwin Printscreen---> It asked me to choose a language before starting the silent installation. How do i get it to not ask me? Belarc Advisor--->After the installation, it analyzes my PC and opens an HTML pages to show the results. How do i get it to install withouot running after that?...would taskkill work? Fabertoys---> After the installation, it shows the group menu that it created. How can i get it to not show it, but keep the group menu selection that i chose during the installation...is it possible?...or do i have to select not to create a group menu at all? Slimbrowser---> Same problem as Fabertoys M$ Powertoys(Windows XP Crativity Fun Pack)---> At the end of the installation it opens the readme files in HTML. How do i get it to not do that? @all Thx in advance!
6. My web broswer was buggy and wouldn't load when i do edit... sorry:(
7. Well I tested the SFX package i made on a Virtual Machine with an original installation of XP Pro with SP2 and it worked. So i assume its my installation of my unattended CD that is the problem. I guess it has to do with something i removed from the installation...but what it the question....any ideas anyone?
8. I was wondering if my problem of it asking for the Windows XP PRO SP2 CD is because i splitreammed the officexp-kb837253-client-enu.exe update into it?
9. Not a CD2....it asked me to insert my XPSP2 CD...im installing with Office with Frontpage but only installing Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and removed some office tools and Shared features. The installation is being done on my Virtual machine that has never had office installed on it. Could it be because of my Windows itself? or because of the stuff i removed from my Windows CD with nlite? My Office XP has SP3 sliptreammed and all updates after SP3's release.
10. I made my Office XP using the method in the unattended guide and then using the shrinking method. Near the end of the shrinking processes it ask me to insert My XP SP2 CD because it says that the CD in the drive is not correct. Now i skipped this by doing cancel and the shrinking process seemed to have worked anyways. Now i used winrar to get my file down to 55.6MB and when i run it, 3/4 in it asked me for the CD again saying that the one present isnt correct. I'm using my slipstreammed SP2 CD created with nlite. Im doing all this on a virtual machine created with VMware and im using my SP2 CD in iso form (mounted im iso form to act as my CD-rom in my virtual machine). Is there a way for it not to asked for my XP SP2 cd?
11. ok...will try that..thx sorry browser prob...didnt think the post had worked

15. I think i just found my mistake... i wrote setupinf instead saveinf.... edit: Well I tried
c:\avast45549.exe /saveinf=".\avast.inf"
and
c:\avast45549.exe /saveinf="c:\avast.inf"
but still doesn't work...
16. im using a runonceex.cmd...but that still doesnt tell me what type of installer it is... @Radimus since you used
start /wait "" AvastAV\setupeng.exe /SILENT /SP- /NORESTART
That would mean its a inno setup...so isn't my
c:\setupeng.exe /setupinf=".\avast.inf"
working?
17. the /saveinf doesnt work for me...i have the latest version of Avast home...did they change the type of installer?
c:\setupeng.exe /setupinf=".\avast.inf"
Thats the code i used
18. Thx...It works !!
19. Is there a reason why when I use the /saveinf= "./silent.inf" or "c:\silent.inf", that it doesnt create my inf file when i install quicktimealt139.exe? I tried with the "Run" command and from a "cmd" window and it's the same...
20. Thx!! ...thats exactly what i was looking for guys!
21. After hours of searching i cant seem to find how to install Quick and Real Alternative silently and removing the components i don't want. Can someone point me in the right direction please
22. @durex Do i just need to add this to my runonceex.cmd? %systemdrive%\install\diskeeper9\admin-point.msi INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\Utilities\Diskeeper" /QB but i replace the admin-point by my msi file and since i want the default location i don't need the INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\Utilities\Diskeeper"
