hello guys how do i test rams? im using a 128MB SDRam and my friend said when my PC does not display anything on screen but there's a power it could be a bad RAM, please help im not sure if my RAMs arent really working.

my PC with an OS XP Pro has SP2 installed and some other updates and local softwares; when i come to use such programs that scans or downloads files such as AVG scanning your harddrive or downloading a large virus database my computer freezes and nothing else i cud do to make it work than reboot and watch my PC perform scandisk for a long time. what should i do please help me my PC is sharing an internet connection (DSL) and i dont want others to be disconnected especially when someone is downloading... thanks

hello baj, you have to replace the battery of the CMOS located at the motherboard, after that you will be able then to configure your CMOS n able to save it. the CMOS is a chip the needs power to work n synchronize with your system and detects all hardware. im not familiar on how to open the LAPTOP but i have experienced similar things on my desktop. GOOLUCK!
