Felix, Thanx for that, still have same problem though here is a screenshot of what i see. After the cmd window closes the nerotmp folder disappeares. Is there any way for !MakeIt.cmd to make a log file so we can see whats going wrong?

Nice work felix, for me though when i click !MakeIt.cmd it extracts nero then deletes the extracted files and closes ! i did edit !MakeIt.cmd though, maybe i messed somthing up? i only want to be able to burn cd`s dont want any of the fluff, attatched it incase you want to look _MakeIt.cmd

Hello durex, after hours of googleing, i had found the appz i had listed in my last post and a lot of javascript menu`s, so i posted here for help because i don`t know java script and wanted a progy to do all that for me, anyway thanxs for you sudgestions and after lots more googleing i think i have found a good app to put my menu together. i have uploaded the new layout, nothing special but its a start, and after the menu is sorted i will start on adding the many new appz i have waiting to be added. If anyone has any thoughts on the site, comments, sudgestions, i want to here them, after all i am putting the site together for you as much as myself. Anyway have a look and enjoy.

Some quality appz surfacing here lately, i am still updating stand x, even though its been a while actualy i`m about ready to upload a new layout. I just need a nav bar, thats the only thing stoping me now. I`ve tried xara, Selteco Menu Maker, Coffecup DHTML menu maker, AllWebMenus Lite and Xtreeme DHTML Menu Studio. none of them are suitable for one reason or another. If anyone knows a good navbar program plz let me know, i need it to support firefox and submenus. I realy need your help with this, i`ve spent hours trying to sort this out, its driving me

I extract it to program files during setup along with some other stand alone appz i use, just sfx the winrar folder with settings.reg and rarreg.key in it. No need to install at all just click ok to import settings on first run.

when i said "got any more" i was joking, great work though, it must of took you a long time to put that lot together!

Ok albator, if i have no time in future you can take the driving seat, in the mean time, what categories would you sudgest? I have so far; Notepad Replacements Password Utilities Registry Tools Those are pretty specific, not sure wether more general categories would be better! like Network Tools, Desktop Appz, Internet Appz ? I`m open to all sudgestions ppl. Edit; BTW nlite is stand alone but only if you have .net installed or have installed the alternative runtimes, a shame i know but you cant have it all

Thank you ppl for these wonderfull appz and the kind words about my site, i am blown away with the amount of free and very usefull s.a.a. there actualy are. I think albator is a lot more enthusiast than i am and maybe has more time to work on the stand alone app site. I have been planing to eventualy sort the site into catagories and improve the layout like below, one app per line in a table; App name - Pure/Unpure - Description - Screenshot - Download - Homepage adding a feedback page or in time a forum. All this and a few other things will happen eventualy but, if someone has the time and enthusiasm to continue with this site now, i would be happy to hand over development, and help out when i can, i will always be on the lookout for a good free standy. I think stand x has the potential to be a great site, it just needs a little time and effort, i am willing to keep it alive and work on it when i can but if someone has more time, patience, will and skills i`m not goin to stand in your way and would be more than happy to hand it over.

@ Shotgun, thats what i`m talkin about more like that please ppl @ Afterdawn, i found an old copy of Acrobat Reader 4 do you think its worth adding to my list, i mean i dont have any pdf`s created with newer releases to test wether this old stand alone reader will open them. maybe someone can test it and let me know.

yes true, but most small stand alone appz are made for one or two specific tasks. so unless you have the need for it its useless. will add those tomorrow. thanx. @dl, dreamweaver updated the links when i moved the index page, it didnt do a very good job though

Astalavista, Ok maybe my origional question is in the wrong thread. i put it where i thought best. all i want to know is how to get my batch to wait untill office has fully installed before it caries on installing my other apps. do you know the answer? if not where is a better place to post it? Second i know office shrink works with office xp! my question is does your 7zip guide for office 2003 work for office xp aswell? who is short sighted?

Hi, this office shrink is great, but i have a problem, not with shrink process though, that works fine. i`m trying to get my shrunk office installed from start.cmd using a rar sfx which is set to run setup.exe after extraction. Problem is start.cmd does`nt wait for office to install, it caries on installing my other apps after office has extracted. so i end up with office installing at the same time as my other apps which causes some of them not to install properly or at all. I hope you can understand all that what i need is a way to halt my .cmd file while office installs. a work around is to put "pause" in the .cmd but then its not an unattended install. this has get me well and truly stuck any sudgestions are welcome. attatched my start.cmd if it will help Cheers start.cmd

Thanx sixpack for the link, cant seem to get the cabs to extract though, most likely i`m doing somthing wrong. I have no experience doing this maybe somone can point me in the right direction. Great work. BTW, have done nlite install with these drivers and all seems well, have got rid of cat files aswell & saved another half a meg I thank you.

oh so its the inf`s making it repeat itself dont know why there are so many, these drivers are from my mobo driver page here.i intergrate all drivers accept speetouch with nlite, with the audio drivers i point it to Alcxwdm.inf. so i removed all the other inf`s out of directory and now the file size is 7.58MB havent tested them yet though. 10 to 2MB wow! Where have you and your batch file been all my life hp38guser never thought that much compresion was ever possible. just read this thread you only need a few files but when i use your batch it copys even less which is good but when i try to move them into one folder to intergrate with nlite it asks to overwrite one of the .cat files. is this ok? what are .cat files for? as for modem drivers, thats a bit complicated for me, i will have to tackle that another day Cheers

Brilliant work, been looking for somthing like this for while, having trouble with my drivers though! I get error "file not found" or it just goes into a loop? Here they are incase you want to take a look Cheers Epson Stylus Colour 670 Audio, VGA, Chipset Drivers SpeedTouch 330 ADSL Also, is there any way to find out if there are any extra files that arent needed, the audio drivers are 34MB uncompressed! Obvious files are help files but there must be more. Any ideas?
