  1. me too... seems to be corrupted
  2. the supporter, cnmemory, states this drivers as generic usb 2.0 driver... perhaps they are working .... http://download.cnmemory.de/treiber/Win98USBTreiber.zip
  3. hmmm... got a similar problem some years ago on the 64gb barrier...but after patching the problem was solved... totay i use an 3/4 filled up 200gb fat32 partitioned drive with an external pci-idecontroller successful and without corruption... problem circumvented with the external controller?
  4. one question: why ist this fine piece of software only for the ENGLish version of win98se? someone tried it (unsuccesful) on a different version?
  5. at all, im very satisfied by the actual pack... some minor enhancements i would like to see....: - as selectable option: exchange the browseXX.XXX stuff for the unlagging version from ie5.5 - also as selectable option : small, powerfull substitutes for notepad and taskmanager - optional: an cpucooler (like k-cpucooler) because win98 do no automatical powersaving cpu-idleing (unlike 2000 or xp) - most of the win98se users run also older hardware.... so i would like to see some performance enhancing patches for special hardware like VIA chipsets or Amd k6 cpus.... http://www.georgebreese.com/net/software/ VIA chipset patches http://www.upgradeability.com/K6plus/compatibility/ctu.zip k6 patch http://www.liaokai.com/softw_en/cputool.htm cpu software cooler (kcpu cooler runs for me without problems for years now)
  6. ok ... your taskmanager is much more stylish and has more functions.... but mine is only 18kbyte and yours around 2000kbyte, an argument?
  7. someone tried this "strange" fix to get usb mouse support? http://www.freedos.org/freedos/news/technote/179.html
  8. i think a software cpucooler which sets on idle the cpu to sleep is needed for win98se here the one i'm using now for years without problems.... pros: very small filesize (66kbyte), very small memory needs http://www.kt2k.com/downloads.php?file=7 is an better taskmanager included? here an small (but not well tested) alternative (pro: priority managment , small cons: not very stylish ) http://users.otenet.gr/~gtoub/projects/
  9. ...can someone describe the functinality which win 98 didn't offer to support office 2k3 ?
  10. perhaps... a feature like masquerading win98 as XP or 2000 is possible?
  11. ... the main reason for dropping WIN98 SE support is a political one.... MS want to bring the customers to go to XP ... See also Doom 3 ... out of the box it won't run on Win98 but with only few byte fixed it runs nice....
  12. for PDF editing, decompression, re-compression, checking & OPTIMIZING.... http://sourceforge.net/projects/multivalent/
  13. ffdshow... from sourceforge seem to be the fastest decoder
  14. may i ask why? (so harsh to mozilla)
  15. i got this really annoying problem too!! perhaps you can add some fixes/features optional... selectable or deselectable during installation?
  16. another suggestion.... a fast and free mp3 extension.... really good should pehaps included http://www.mutschler.de/mp3ext/
  17. What's fixed in this regedit? About Defrag, I should research legal issues, after that perhaps I can add some Windows ME files into the version 2.1. i'm not sure.... here the page... http://www.mdgx.com/newtip3.htm#SHRINK1 here the site of the creator PS: seems the creator of www.mdgx.com iswrong... the patched version is only needed for win95
  18. hello gape... is this fixed regedit from http://www.mdgx.com included? http://www.users.dircon.co.uk/~flibble/reg/reg.zip perhaps you can provide 2 versions of the servicepack ... one generic and one optimized for the people wit me ....
