Yes, StartIsBack+ no longer works on new Windows 10 builds. Fixing that gonna take a while, but I hope I will get decent result and direction for StartIsBack on Win10. SYMPTOMS Windows 8.1 does not fully boot after restarting your PC. CAUSE Old StartIsBack+ versions are not compatible with new Windows Updates. Specifically, this may happen with versions 1.5.2 and below. RESOLUTION Press Ctrl+Alt+Del (or Win+Power on tablet). Select Task Manager, File – Run new task. Type StartIsBackCfg.exe /uninstall and click OK. On a tablet, you may need to locate osk.exe in \Windows\System32 folder and run it to be able to type on the screen. As alternative, you may run iexplore.exe (or firefox.exe, chrome.exe or your other favorite browser), go to www.startisback.com, download and install newer version. BOTTOM LINE I'm very sorry for the troubles if caused. Please make sure you're running latest StartIsBack+ version and are installing updates if you're using automatic Windows Update system. This problem should not rise again. Like

Update has borked some StartIsBack+ functions. They have changed stuff in library loader. I do have a fix ready but huh.

If you mean Windows 10, so far partition wipe and Windows 8.1 reinstall may help.

So you observe ActivationData gets deleted in your case? That's strange. It is deleted only in the case server reports invalid license key or other error. Can you try to backup ActivationData and restore it as ActivationData1 on different hardware?

That's WindowBlinds - Stardock's skinning engine, buggy but with lot of skins. I was unable to reproduce your issue yet, sorry.
