So I can confirm now that atlas file is not correctly loaded after fast shutdown.

Can anyone confirm this? I guess it could be connected with Fast startup (or whatever is this feature called) and it may be hard to reproduce for me. What happens when you just change the Windows theme? Will the atlas be refreshed?

It adds more work to me... public beta will require symbol downloading, but I need to incorporate new patterns in final release.

It is debug version so watermark is always displayed.

No stress, it is my mistake in PHP script which corrupts the file during the download. I'm fixing it as soon as possible EDIT: it should be ok now.. just redownload.

NoelC, Dreamweaver01: do you test it on Win8.1 or Win10? Does aerohost.exe keep running or does it close immediately after startup? Could you try executing aerohost.exe just outside of Task Scheduler to see whether it displays "You need system account blah blah" message or it stucks earlier... btw public release will be delayed - one week for each one My1's useless post.

Someone on WindowBlinds forum mentioned that this happened even in the past - much earlier before my Aero Glass ;-) I just think that it takes some time until all needed files are published. uDWM symbols are up now, but they are needed for custom inactive frame colors and caption glow effect only.

Yes confirmed with Build 9860 it does nothing. I spent several hours on finding the problem and the only difference is that CRYPTSP.DLL (used for theme signature verification) is now delay-loaded library. My code does not handle this correctly - or better, it is able to hook delayed imports but hooked IAT is restored by delayLoadHelper when the library is called for the first time. I will try to find some proper solution but it may take some time.

WindowBlinds does not support blur effect, that's all.

Then the problem is not caused by Aero Glass.

It cannot work with WindowBlinds, because Stardock completely replaces Windows Theme rendering engine and uses its own. Windows' borders are not rendered via DWM then so it cannot apply blur there.

toniostarcevic: if you uninstalled all installed versions and you also deleted all files manually and Aero Glass still appears, it simply means that you used some 3rd party script/tweaks which messed everything and moved DLL to some other folder. Unfortunately, you must fix this on your own, we are not able to do it.

I have no big problem with UAC either. In Vista, it was really horrible but now it is in acceptable state. The only problem I see is that it really does not help anything much - advanced user knows what he installs/executes on his computer and beginners will confirm "You need admin privileges to run PornoDownloader.exe" regardless of any warning.

Try setting ColorizationAfterglowBalanceInactive and ColorizationBlurBalanceInactive to zero... DWM computes the real used color in very complicated way.

No, I don't. Aero Glass writes only to the folder where it is installed to (+ its subfolder \symbols)

No difference, there is no license.key anymore and I already announced long time ago that it should not be used and only donation.key should be used.
