use DP base 5047 at drvindex.inf, still exist these file name: adpu160m.sys aliide.sys dac2w2k.sys dac960nt.sys mraid35x.sys ql12160.sys ultra.sys because we will copy the newer one into \i386 to overwrite the old one ,and hope system use these newer one instead of the on in driver.cab/sp2.cab , so i think we should del these file name from drvindex.inf.

yes, there r so many different saying.... i think txtsetup.sif contains most all sysfiles for installation, not only dirver file,but also windows compont files such as language-input,network files ,etc. but more the 3K drivers is in DRIVER.CAT and newer in SP1.cab /SP2.CAB ,how to list these ? so MS use drvindex.inf, system search it for device driver files NAME will be used ,when got then got the driver FILES in xx.CAB . so we can see driver.cab,sp2.cab auch exists in txtsetup.sif

in BTS_DPs_Control_Panels.cmd i use si7012 ,and del the folder \T ,then will the CPL of si7012 be installed or not ?

[driver] section indicats only to DRIVER.CAB ,not folder i386. Also [sp2] section indicats only to SP2.CAB I've compared the drvindex.inf from xp.sp1.vol and xp.sp2.vol ,found such file name entry "4mmdat.sys" exists in [driver] from sp1 CD, and exists in [sp2] from sp2 CD . AND the file "4mmdat.sys" exists in DRIVER.CAB in sp1 CD , then check sp2-CD, DRIVER.CAB contains NO "4mmdat.sys" but SP2.CAB contains this file! So i think we just need to del the file name (suca as Ultra.sys),no need to ADD the newer file (not included in driver.cab and sp2.cab )

when use M1, all setup proceduce is automatic ,i can't use F6,can't enter in Recovery Consule, can't overwrite-install . but if use M2,can these problem be solve?

in dosnet.sif，both [FloppyFiles.1] and [FloppyFiles.2] have dupl. dptio.sys entries. which one is right?

@BTS, why copy the .dll files into $OEM$\$$\system32 ? what's the function? last i copy the si3112r.sys... into it ,and install on a PC ,it already has a xp-system on partition C (NTFS ,convert from FAT32 32K cluster, Cluster=8K or 16K, atleast bigger than default 4k) , install a new xp on partition D (also NTFS convert from fat32) , after 1st restar, system cannt be loaded ! partition is displayed RAW (not formated) in PartitionMagic8 .but start by Bart's PE CD, every partition is ok,files is ok. Unless i format C:, the other partition flag is not displayed normally...

I just manually added to txtsetup.inf and copy file xxx.xx_ to \i386 ,but....

@BTS, new problem, with CDR when i install , system told me these file not found hdaprop.dll hdashcut.exe hdaudbus.inf hdaudbus.sys hdaudio.inf hdaudio.sys hdaudres.dll and ESC to skip. so i thought maby the 100 should be 1 , while it semms 100 indicate seraching for SP2.cab not \i386

Maybe u can test these m1.inf m2.inf m3.inf hacked by DH Mod(http://file2.mydrivers.com/display/ati_dhmod22.exe) based on officel. v5.3 (no for mobility ) . extracting 3 inf files to $OEM$\$1\DP\G\A\ A.RAR

@BTS, I copy the file to the folder BTS_V5044\DriverPacks\ ,afer all wit M1 ,there'r only BTS_V5044\UWXPCD_ROOT\DPfiles\DP\M\ BTS_V5044\UWXPCD_ROOT\DPfiles\DP\W\ NO Audio and Sound folder! bug? EDIT: I found it wrong file size because of download error

M1, in txtsetup.sif, at V5.041 is aliide.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4 and at v 5.044 is aliide.sys = 1,,,,,,3_,4,1,,,1,4 and in ori file is the last one . why? EDIT: oh,i found , there r 2 entries for aliide ! one is line 871 (aliide.sys = 1,,,,,,3_,4,1,,,1,4) and other is line10609 (aliide.sys= 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4)

@BTS, according to the article http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...Flanguage_tools , it's need to join the newer driver file to driver.cab/sp1.cab and REPACK it . but now the Method we used,r not edit the SIGNED .cab file....

I mean: because such viapdsk.sys not included in DRIVER.CAB, AND in drvindex.inf entris in [driver]section point :that file are included in DRIVER.cab , so we do'nt need to add viapdsk.sys entry to drvindex.inf. such 3dfxvsm.sys is in [driver] of drvindex.inf and included in DRIVER.CAB ,BUT NOT in \i386. strange thing: 1394bus.sys are include both sp2.caband \i386 (sy_) ,and these r the same file . in txtsetup, the entry is 100,,,, (should mean use the one from sp2.cab?) @BTS, post 66 missing of some wort,i edited it. pls reread.
