I just figured it out! It was the oemkrnl.exe, which includes the boot-bitmap. That file got corrupt in a way, and it always stopped booting...no MS fault..this time Thanks anyway

Hi, I have a new pc-configuration and its driving me crazy. My unattended install disk (ryan vms pack is in it also) works like a charm, but after the first reboot, it wont boot again! Not even Safe mode. It stops at tdi.sys. Tried replacing it, but it doesnt help. Finally I found out, that its caused by udpates. When I do a install of an simple XP with only SP2, everything is ok, until I let win connect to the internet and install all updates. Then the same happens as I mentioned before. This never happened to me before, so it could be also harware related in a way-incompatibility. I dunno. The best for me, would be finding out, which update does it. Any help is greatly appreciated, as Im working on it for 4days... First of all, this should be posted under the nlite section. Thats for next time. I suggest U get a different XP source. Repair disks are never a good choice. Then things should be fine, because nlite usually doesnt make errors. Are U using the rc7 version?

Well, thanks for the fast response, but that doesnt solve the prob. Its just monitoring software...I also need to change the fanspeed...
-
Hi, I would like to find a software, that can dynamically adjust the fanspeed, depending on the temperature of the cpu. I know about Speedfan, but Im not able to set it that way. Maybe just some small advice would help. Thanks a lot in forward!

You have to set the same workgroup on both pcs... press the winKey+Pause, then goto computer name, then click CHange. Set the Workgroup name as it is on your big pc. Restart, that should be it. Bye

Hi, probably I accidentally removed a language layout in nlite, but I need it back, but dont want to reinstall everything again... Is there a solution for adding it? All languages have just US layout... Thanks a lot in forward Sorry for double post, but no responses in nlite forum... trying my luck here.

Exactly, when U add just SP2, all SP1 hotfixes are included. I suggest h**p://ryanvm.msfn.org/updatepack.html Its a complete after SP2 hotfixes pack...just easy to use...someone does the job for U:) bye

If I understood it rih´ght, its very easy. When Ure in the turn off menu, press shift, then suddenly your stand-by button changes the description to Hibernate. Hope this helps. bye -

Im experiencing quite the same issue, although its a notebook. It just doesnt play loud enough in some movies which are recorded silent. With music playing there is no prob, the loudspeakers are strong enough. I would love to have an app, that can turn up the sound even more. Looking for that too.... Any suggestions? Thanks in forward
-
Hi, probably posting in a little bit off-theme forum, sorry for that. Ive got a notebook which does not have a physical regulation of volume output. Its managed by software(Fn+PgUp...) Eventhough when I have windows volume and notebook volume set to full, some movies are very silent, because of their recorded sound level. Question: is there a prog/utility to raise the volume output even more? The loudspeakers are strong enough(for example when playing music) Thanks a lot, bye

zxian thanks, but no luck with that, I tried already close to everything, including the batmeter.dll. It changes the power meter tab under power options, but the power meter that is shown in my taskbar seems to be something else. Thanks anyway. Now Im gonna take a look at the xpize. bye

Hi, Ive got a notebook, dont run any utility for power management, because Im happy with the Power meter from microsoft. The only thing that is disturbing me, are the ugly icons in the taskbar. I couldnt localize the powermeter dll or exe file. Tried a few things, but couldnt help myself. Any help is hugely appreciated. Thanks, laser
