  1. I installed the java from RyanVM, but today it asked me if i wanted to update to a newer version.... Is there a new one out? Is this the updater you are all talking about wanting to shut off? can i integrate the update unatended? Java 2 Runtime Environment, v1.5.0_02-b09 ---------------------------------------- This is 1.5.0_02-b09
  2. Aha, that's what i was afraid of. Mainly looking for a way to sync online thorugh command. Any idea why windows sync wouldnt work??
  3. (PS. this post's messages is translated from Norwegian Windows XP and may differ from the actual english messages) If i try double click the tray icon for time, and at the internet-time tab hit the "Update now" button the status text will say: please wait while windows syncronises with time.windows.com. After 10-20sec it will say: An error has occured while syncronising with time.windows.com. In the dropdown for time-servers i have: time.windows.com time.nist.gov Same error occures on both servers. I have also tried to update through command with the following command: NET TIME /SET this only reports: Could not find any time-server.
  4. Yes, it seems it is set to Automatic and "Started". So that should be running.
  5. There will be a problem with your cleanup, cause in the Norwegian windows XP it is not called desktop. my path to desktop is %userprofile%\Skrivebord (Dekstop is called Skrivebord).
  6. I have problems getting windows time syncronisation to work. I get could not connect to time server or similar when trying to upate time through time.windows.com or the other standard time server in Windows. I have a Norwegian windows XP, and am behind a NAT router. I can not get NET TIME /SET in command to work either, (cant find timeserver).
  7. I don't know if its me or my setup, but I can't get windows time syncronisation to work. I can't get connected to the time.windows.com server to sync?
  8. How can I implement an autosync of time with timeserver in my cleanup.cmd? Most likely using: NET TIME command PS. im in Norway and behind NAT.
  9. Found it. Excellent. However there is still an e: virtual drive present, even though D-tools is not running. Can i also disable this drive somehow? So there are no "extra" virtual drives enabled.
  10. Im going to try defrag.exe first. Can't see why that should'nt work.
  11. Hehe. Can i call in a .cmd the following? @echo off start /wait defrag.exe %systemdrive% EXIT ?
  12. Thanks, but thats not what im after Im after a method to defrag systemdrive
  13. How do I defrag systemdrive silently at cleanup.cmd? I am using WPI, called (WPI.cmd) from RunOnceEx part of winnt.sif. At the end of WPI i call cleanup.cmd that deletes shortcuts and tempfiles. WPI.cmd reboots at the very end. So the best would be to have a defragment at the end of cleanup.cmd.
  14. Well its not there. There is ONLY the ctfmon.exe key in the ...run part of the registry.
  15. Nope thats not it. Theres only something called ctfmon.exe in system32 folder there...
  16. How can I make Daemon Tools disabled, so that after installation, it does not autorun on start-up, and does not automount. Also disable all drives so there are no virtual D-tools drives. Basicly shutdown D-tools completly. I would like to just have it installed and ready to be used if it is needed on a later time.
  17. Ah, well it's for adding computer name then? Could you do so that it also writes the autologon.reg and brukerkonto.cmd? My guess is I need to alter those also?
