New ESR releases for 128.12 (including a hotfix) ... yay!

I'm hoping for an update to ESR 128.10, as there was a major security patch issued last month. I think ESR 128.11 was next. Crossing my fingers

I didn't mean r3dFox,I mean something like a 115esr fork for continued Windows 7 and 8.1 support.
And you wouldn't prefer to to have ESR 128.x? It's more up to date.

@Leokids123, for Windows 7 and 8.1, there's r3dFox from @K4sum1. He has compiled ESR v128.9 releases.

You're right, #compact-mode doesn't seem to do anything (I hadn't actually tried it before, as I'm very happy with it the way it is!)
132 looks exactly the same to me as 126 did.
Actually v126 R7, the height of the tab bar was less (equivalent to modern-day Chrome), and the transport buttons (back, forward, refresh and home were a fair bit bigger. I'll live. It's just that when using other themes like Blue Mica, or Classic Blue, you see a weird separator line between the most right tab and the New Tab button.

Have you tried #compact-mode in the flags?
Yes. That flags did not make any difference. Then I tried #compact-ui, but that was really small. Too small actually.
For what it's worth, I'm using Supermium on a Dell Inspiron 1420 notebook with Vista Home Basic. I have enabled flags for classic interface, and native user interface elements (both of which appear to make no difference). @Dave-H are you getting the same interface that you had with v126 R7?

I still find the tab bar is too high, and the transport buttons are so small. I just wished win32 would have kept the same UI as 126 R7

I appreciate the heads up. Luckily for me, I'm not affected.

Jody, friend, there's a huge improvement for us, Vista fanatics, a simply marvellous browser! Released recently.
Two versions. Choose marked "Vista".
136 (non-portable)
https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Chromium-for-windows-7/releases/tag/136.0.7063.0
134 Portable, Ungoofed.
https://github.com/e3kskoy7wqk/Chromium-for-windows-7/releases/tag/ungoogled-chromium_134.0.6998.165
Made by a student from China, so I can't give any personal guarantees, you understand.
Sounds as though it's worth checking out. Thanks @D.Draker

Just upgraded to R2. Look what happens to the tabs. I don't want to have to create a new profile each time (that was the way I was able to fix the tabs issue a week ago)

Well I found that "something else going on" item of disruption; my old profile.
Backed up my old profile, started a new one, and voila, the UI is back to its old self on the new v132 release. Yay!

I have not witnessed this but I do not "pin" tabs. That bit of detail was KEY to this and nobody seems to have cited that tabs were being PINNED.
So my curiousity would be this - does the issue self-correct if you UNPIN the tabs, exit and relaunch, then PIN them again?
I'll have to try and look again. I do not pin tabs ever, but I could try that.
Just one thing, in case I'm worsening my own situation. I never actually "install" the browser. I open the setup archive in 7-Zip, and extract the "Supermium" folder into \Program Files\Supermium. Then I run the executable with a shortcut. Is that not recommended?

Fair enough

I didn't see any evidence from him, Can you see the screenshot I uploaded?
Yes I did. Why would I lie about something like that? Anyway, here is a link to a Github bug, with one of them showing a Windows 7 machine exhibiting the same symptoms.
https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/1263
Scroll down the page ... See the image? That's what I had. Anyway, I went back to R7.

Thanks @D.Draker. That was very kind of you. Have a good day.

Thanks @hidao Unfortunately that did not work. My tabs are now extending to the top of the titlebar, whereas before, they only went three-quarters the way up. I'll keep trying other flags. Cheers!

How are you folks getting the new Supermium to look more like the older R7 release, as far as tabs are concerned? My tabs lokk really "tall" and spaced apart. Any help is appreciated. Just looking for perhaps, a flag to change.
Also, there are spaces now between the tabs.

I see a new version:

Hopefully a new ESR version can't be far behind

and again k4sum1 dropped unclear bomb
so this means that redfox will use unstable builds from FF branch
or this means that you gonna add new fixes and features from newest unstable FF branch into stable redfox ?I took neither from that. It appears to me that r3dFox will use release v134 on the next build.

Isn't that already available in Supermium via:
chrome://flags/#rectangular-tabs
? ... Though the end result leaves much to be desired
:
That's just it. I hate the spaces in between.

On the GitHub portal, it's mentioned that v132 will incorporate new UI features. I wonder what those are?
I hope not the tabs button on the top left. I would LOVE square tabs, just like Quantum, old Vivaldi and Edge.

Darn! Seems the new release doesn't support tabs under the address bar (by using Zapp's Photon Theme). Still works with ESR 128.10. I wonder if something changed in core Firefox, but there are A LOT of different r3dFox options in Settings now.
Edit: It appears that custom entries in about:config that are used by Zapp's Photon Theme are now ignored by ESR 128.12 rc
GoodConscience wrote: on the Eclipse Forum: "This version of r3dfox isn't completely compatible with 128 ESR userChrome.css themes.
You will need to replace instances of "(-moz-bool-pref: " with "-moz-pref(" for the theme to work correctly
That did fix it.
