  1. I think you don't need to install them. Because if you open the msi, you will see that the files are just installed in the [iNSTALLDIR]. You have to move the files to the system32 folder anyway so you can run it from cmd.
  2. What's gonna happen if I don't compress the files to a cab?
  3. Simon, feel free to use the Nero.SFX posted here. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=244427
  4. What?? I don't know anything!
  5. If I'm not mistaken, the START /MIN is for the application that the batch launches. But not for the batch file itself.
  6. Yeah. I can confirm that it is machine specific. It didn't work on vmware.
  7. I just installed it to my system, and copied the files to my system32. The installers are msi's, right?
  8. You can use CMDOW. Or you can use Quick Batch File Compiler, and convert your batch file to EXE and use the "Ghost" feature. This is better than CMDOW.
  9. I agree with Alanoll. I don't know this program, but according to the EULA, I can't see any violations here. And as long as 1chaoticadult (drthawhizkid) include the original uneditted EULA, and he didn't claim to be the author of the program, there is no problem. Did he modify anything? No. So therefore, he doesn't need any concent from the author. He just repacked the software, that's all. Do you thinks it is really "illegal"? Come on man, 1chaoticadult (drthawhizkid) is just trying to help. Peace out!
  10. What? This thread is more than two months old. I know I posted on the wrong section, and I think I asked someone to move this two months ago.
  11. This is what I want to do. But I don't know how. I wan't to use my WPI as my autorun at the same time. But I want to have another button that will exit my wpi, and opens the Window's setup.exe. Another thing is, an option to put a greyed out option. For example, the cleanup.cmd is something that I have to install everytime. So I want to set it as default, and greyed out so no one can uncheck it.
  12. Yeah it will work. But for me, I still wan't to keep the original notepad. Call me crazy but I use the original notepad, metapad, and notepad2 (which I use as my deafault notepad).
  13. Or use an sfx to do everything for you.
  14. Try removing this folder before installing. %appdata%\Mozillla and maybe %appdata%\talkback
  15. Then it is machine specific. I haven't tried it on a different computer, but works on my pc. I'm gonna try it when I get the chance.
  16. yes. it will work for sure.
  17. I'm not sure if this will make any difference.. The msi is SFXed. No additional switches required if your run from the exe. http://tinyurl.com/6b3ja
  18. I think I have an idea. But I'm not sure if this is the really the problem. I noticed that most of us can install this msi without any problem (including me), but some are having difficutlties. What is your operating system? Maybe it is because I used MSI version 3.0 when I built this msi. If you can't install it during runonce, try using Simon's installer. It is not an msi, so you will not experience that problem. And of course, it will work 100%! Also, I will build another msi using MSI version 2.0 . Just give me a few minutes. Edit: I don't think the msi version is the problem. But let's give it a try.
  19. Ey Philip! Is that an INF? Sorry guys. I don't know why you are having these problems with this msi.. I never had that problem so I don't have a clear picture of what's happenning.
  20. soulin and mattofak, thanks for the tip. Could you post some examples so I can follow it? LiquidSage, this WinXP manager that I'm trying to install is an edited version. I edited it so I don't have to enter my serial number after installation. I will try to edit it again and see if I can remove the requirements and system check. But of course, that is only my last resort. If there is another way to do this without doing much changes to the original installer, I will go for it. By the way, why do you have to do an admin install? The original installer is an sfx, and inside it is an msi, which you can edit directly. Thank you guys for your ideas.
  21. I don't get it. Could you explain it more?
  22. That is a very long list! IMHO, you don't need most of them if you just want to register the software. Most of the entries in your regfile are automatically generated when you install the program. And "TempDirPath"="C:\\Documents and Settings\\Glent\\Local Settings\\Temp\\" will not work for all users. The entry "InstallPath"="C:\\Program Files\\Smart Projects\\IsoBuster" will not work if you install the program on a different location.
  23. Yeah. That will work for sure, but I wan't to install it on the same series of installation..
  24. Hello. I wan't to include WinXP Manager to my UA dvd. My only problem is it requires NetFramework to be installed. So I tried installing NetFramework before WinXP Manager, but it still didn't work. Maybe it is because NetFramework needs to restart before the changes to take effect. What do you think is the best solution for this? Thanks.
  25. Hello ^_^! (Is that a smiling face? ) The add %key% part is for the runonceex.cmd. Of course there is a way to install Firefox with batch files. It is basically the same. thing.
