  1. As for finding the key for XP or Office use Magic Jellybean Keyfinder. google is your friend.
  2. I don't want to do an unattended install of ME but of XP. I have the ME disc but I wanted to know what it is exactly that the XP Upgrade looks for from the ME disc. Sorry, it is a bit confusing in my head and hard to explain on a forum. I thought about just putting the ME files on the DVD but for some reason I can't think of right now I thought that the ME files and the XP files would not get along on the same disc.
  3. I would like to put on 1 DVD all of the stuff needed to install Win XP Pro Upgrade including the previous version of Windows (in my ME) so that I don't need to switch discs in the process. What is it that Win XP Pro Upgrade looks for on the disc of the prior version that I could include on my unattended install disc. I know that I can't automate it but I would like to at least not have to find the Win ME CD when I reinstall Win XP Pro Upgrade. Thanks!
  4. Thanks for in the detailed instructions. Worked great. I really like how it didn't matter where to add the lines to the txtsetup.sif file. I just copied and pasted at the very end and it worked great. I didn't know if I needed to compress the two .sys files or not so I did and put both the .sy_ and the .sys files in the I386 folder. Not like it was that hard. Thanks again!
  5. My name is Overclock, aka Eric. I have been lurking for a while trying to figure out how to do an UA Install of XP. I probably burned thru (literally) at least 25 cd-r discs. Good thing they were Free After Rebate (FAR). Now I only have about 300 left. I successfully integrated the NVRAID drivers into the install since my floppy won't read anymore, thanks to the device drivers forum. I actually registered to say thanks to cfeedback for instructions on how to integrate the NVRAID. This upgrade about killed me. First a bad mobo and then I couldn't get the network adapter to work. This was on a Soltek 250Gb with an AMD 64 3200+. When it did install everything was done in about 15 minutes. Man, that is fast. I finally got the network adapter installed by using the 5.1 drivers. Thanks for all your help!
  6. you can do all that and more. first slipstream sp2 into windows. check the device drivers forum for detail. it depends on the manufacturer of your sata controller. i find that nlite does not integrate the drivers as well as doing it manually. good luck.
  7. Thanks for that excellent explanation. All of the sudden my floppy won't read the driver diskette. Don't know what happened. Hopefully this will work. I searched and searched but couldn't find anything either.
