  1. And this is just the problem. Some of your statements are confusing. Please clarify! And I know you are running HTTPSProxy in your XP vm but that wasn't what I suggested. Please take time to read and understand what I' ve written and tried to suggest!
  2. Both proxies base upon same source. So both have to work as they do in my system. But you said ProxHTTPSProxy would work. So use it in your host system and configure your vm to access to it only for https as @RainyShadow suggested.
  3. I still have assumed you are using my config file but you said it wouldn' t work for you. Therefore I suggested to modify the mentioned section in this file:
  4. At first avoid running both in RAM. That won't work at all. You have to exit the unused one to use the other. If that doesn't help try modifying this section of config.ini: ### Ignore SSL certificate verify, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! ### Proxy setting still effective [SSL No-Verify] urs.microsoft.com c.microsoft.com* *one.microsoft.com* download.windowsupdate.com cc.dcsec.uni-hannover.de fe2.update.microsoft.com www.update.microsoft.com In your uploaded config file of ProxhttpsProxy you've got only *update.microsoft.com in this section. So disable the other entries related to Microsoft by setting # in front of each line! Maybe it is working for you. In my system I do not need to change anything. This sentence does not make any sense at all. Here my grammatical analysis: "The certificate error photo is of my vm and is enabled because it worked with ProxhttpsProxy". Sorry, no! Please be more accurate in your statements! I only can guess what you mean but I would like to read it.
  5. @maile3241 Is your Windows XP vm activated properly meaning genuine? Afaik you had problems due to validating. Btw check PM on MDL!
  6. Then you can try modifying config.ini of HTTPSProxy. As I told you my provided config file is working perfectly for me but maybe not for you. Or you have a problem with HTTPSProxy's generated HTTPSProxyCA.crt certificate.
  7. Both HTTPSProxy as well as ProxhttpsProxy are working flawlessly in my Windows XP Professional system. If HTTPSProxy doesn't work for you properly then you'll have done something wrong. At first read the included documents and check your installation! @Dave-H has both installed in his system and they are working as expected except successfully accessing to MU web site. I think there is a misconfiguration due to whatever. We haven't found the problem yet. My provided config files are used in my system without any problems.
  8. Of course I told you before. Now I have to work. I will come back later.
  9. Please some more information! Which OS? Did you read the documents how to setup? In your installation went something wrong.
  10. @Dave-H will come home only today! He has been away from home for some days.
  11. @maile3241 Trying to access my inbox I get this message: https://imgur.com/4p3wVW5
  12. That's fine. But at the moment the PM function doesn't work in my system. Anyway MSFN had server problems the last days. What about yours? I think we have to wait a bit.
  13. Ok, you're right. We can't send him a PM. I'll send you a PM but not now. I'm writing this using my tablet but I need my PC to create a link. But one thing is clear: For personal use only! No sharing! No circulation! Is that ok for you?
  14. We have to honor that @Thomas S. hadn't provided a working link of his software. So first send him a PM! If he doesn't answer contemporarily then maybe.
  15. I know that he hasn't been here since 02/17/2021. But it doesn't mean he won't answer. First try to send him a PM! The problem is I don't know if I am allowed to provide a link of my copy due to copyright protection. Btw try using the extended kernel. HTTPSProxy won't work either in Windows 2000 without it.
  16. If you've read the post intently you'll have noticed to send a PM if you have trouble or any request.
  17. Here is the post and a download link for HTTPSProxy. The author is Thomas S., a member of this forum. But if ProxHTTPSProxy doesn't work then HTTPSProxy won't work either.
  18. Use a more recent browser like this one: https://retrosystemsrevival.blogspot.com/2018/05/palemoon-265-for-windows-2000.html?m=0
  19. Only HTTPSProxy but afaik it bases upon ProxHTTPSProxy so it won't work either.
  20. Hi, I don't know this "Simplix Pack" but the Winfuture Pack for Windows 7 is a German one and there aren't too much of them. Furthermore I had used it in the past and it worked. But thanks for your tip!
  21. I already knew that. For accessing MU in Windows 7 use the app version. In my view there'll never be any chance to get web version of MU working. And I know you are German like me so use Winfuture Update Pack for Windows 7 including all updates until January of 2020 to get rid of error code 0x80072efe. No more to say related to that matter!
  22. @maile3241 And last but not least I doubt you could ever get MU web site version working in Windows 7 because it has never been there before. The mechanism has never existed before.
  23. Your statements are very confusing. What are you talking about? I know you never used it in Win 7 but you want to get it workung. Then you say you just want to get updates from the website like @xpandvistafan. But no one has got workung it until now. The problem is your English. You have to improve your way of articulating and to be more accurate in writing comments.
