@Max Unfortunately I've got no idea how IIS works and what the problem may be caused by Could you explain it in details and if possible let us know how to reproduce it? As for the .NET Framework installer, Tommy has already given the right URL but you must remember that this installer requires a test version (daily or weekly) of UURollup-v11 to be installed in your system in order to work. It won't work properly with UURollup-v10d. By the way, I've just uploaded a new daily! And the other good news is that I've finally managed to fix slipstreaming so you can expect a new weekly release this weekend too.

That's why I'm hesitating to do it. I think that it will be better to just wait for a while and see what happens. All of the materials are still available on Google Drive and SkyDrive.
-
By the way, I haven't updated the programs list here for quite a long time: http://windows2000.tk/programs but I have been updating the Evernote archive constantly as soon as a new version is released so if you use it then you can always use the same link to download the newest version. The Dropbox link doesn't work (temporarily?) but you can find it on Google Drive.

I've checked several alternatives but none of them seemed to be able to fully replace Skype on all my devices (PC, phone, tablet) so I'm still using Skype at the moment but I've managed to find this custom modification for Android: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1148708 and it's way better than the official version.

Good idea! I'll try to do it next time if I encounter such an issue.

Thank you for explanation It was my friend's laptop and the system is already installed now but if I ever have to reinstall it I may try to remove the battery and see if there's any difference. If not then I guess there's no easy fix for this issue apart from preparing a fully unattended installation, right?

A few days ago I was installing XP on a fairly new laptop with an Intel graphics card integrated (don't remember what model it was exactly). The thing is that the screen was completely blank during the whole GUI part of the installation. I prepared a fully automated installation (winnt.sif) and it actually finished successfully but there was just nothing shown on the screen during the whole process. I was able to know that the system was being installed by looking at the HDD led blinking. After the installation had finished the system booted normally. Has anyone experienced such a problem? Is there any solution? I didn't integrate the graphics driver into the XP source but even if I had done it, it would have been installed later during the GUI mode. The screen went blank right after the text installation had finished and the computer rebooted.

Everything should be available at SkyDrive and Google Drive now. I've also uploaded a new version of UURollup. I've updated the kernel files and also added MSI files from blackwingcat's KB971913.

No, I haven't received any notifications from Dropbox. I myself can access all of my files without any problems. It's just the public links that don't work. Edit: Please let me know whether those SkyDrive archives work or whether there are any problems with them.
-
I hope Dropbox will work again but just in case here are two SkyDrive links. SkyDrive offers up to 7GB of free space so I had to divide the Updates folder into two. I hope you'll be able to figure out what is where SkyDrive1 SkyDrive2 The files are being uploaded at the moment so it make take a while to upload everything.
-
It still doesn't work for me I've set up a Windows 7 virtual machine and now I'm working on configuring SkyDrive to synchronise the remaining files (the SkyDrive application requires Windows NT 6.x to run).
-
I don't know why the links aren't available because the official Dropbox limitations are as following: Source: https://www.dropbox.com/help/45/en And I highly doubt that the 20 GB/day has been exceeded in my case simply because Windows 2000 related content isn't just that popular. Anyway, I hope that it's temporary and just in case HERE you can find UURollup / UR2 / USP5 related files in an alternative location on Google Drive (the files are being uploaded right now). I can't upload the other content at the moment because Google Drive provides only 5 GB of free space.

Unusual Firefox HTML -URL bug after UURollup
tomasz86 replied to UberGeek451's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
Gurgelmeyer made both USP 5.0 and later USP 5.1. I'm going to prepare USP 5.2 which will be an updated version of USP 5.1. -
Unusual Firefox HTML -URL bug after UURollup

What do you mean exactly by W2K SP5.0? Are you sure that your problem is related to UURollup? Had everything been fine before you installed it? I haven't experienced any such issues in my system. -
@blackwingcat I've just uploaded a new daily release of UURollup (130121) with the new shell32.dll. The buggy file was included in the previous one. I also only get the Runtime Error box when trying to run Skype 6.1... BUT Skype 6.0 seems to work OK! I can send messages now.
-
A new daily is ready. Everything has been updated to the newest version (BWC kernel files, VC++ 2010 files, etc.). I can confirm that this one works as I've just installed it in my system.

I'd just like to add one comment. If you used [ member= ] tags and the user has changed his or her name then those tags display nothing. I think that it would be nice if they could automatically be redirected to the new name. Is such a function difficult to implement? What I mean is that I used tags like [ member=SearanoX ] and now he changed his username to "Tommy" but those tags still point to "SearanoX", thus nothing is displayed. You can check this post to see what I'm talking about.

Unfortunately Silverlight 5.1 still doesn't work if you use Korean or Chinese locale. You can test it just by enabling it in the Regional Options, rebooting and then trying to open a Silverlight based web content (you can switch the locale back later). I can confirm that Skype 6.1 doesn't work here either. I get the same error message as ppgrainbow. Skype 6.0 does work but sending messages is broken (already mentioned before). @Tommy This seems to be a very nice way to uninstall updates when the system doesn't boot. Frankly speaking, I didn't know about it

I'm sorry for not being very active recently. I've experienced a serious of bad event recently and I've also got to move my house next week so it's difficult to find enough time to test new versions of UURollup I myself recently restored my system image from a backup copy after messing around with it and at the moment I'm still running on UURollup daily 121215, and can't really test new versions as thoroughly as I used to. At least I'm trying to follow BlackWingCat's updates and add the newest files from his kernel to UURollup. I'd be very thankful if anyone checked the newly released XP/2003 updates (January 2013 bulletin & the new IE non-cumulative update) and saw if there is anything applicable to Win2k.
-
You need to open the Windows Update webpage and let it check for other updates and then install them. After having installed those updates you'll probably have to reboot, and after rebooting just open it and check for updates again. Do it until there are no updates offered. Those folders are responsible for uninstallation. Once you've removed such a folder, you won't be able to uninstall that update any more.
-
You need to run Windows Update again... That BITS 2.0 update is the most basic one required by WU to work. Once you've got it installed then WU will be able to install other updates. Just run Windows Update again and again up to the moment when it will tell you that there are absolutely no (zero) updates available.
-
Those IE6 updates which you installed are obsolete. I think that in order to succeed you should just follow the guide step by step. Just do everything what's written there (except for those steps which you've already done) and you will end up with a system with all official updates installed.

My mistake Try this (without "thanks"): http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6 You should see this: You may also want to have a look at this guide: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/158916-guide-to-installing-and-updating-windows-2000-professional/

Update Rollup 1 is not enough. While it's newer than SP4, it's still from 2005!!! You need to apply the other updates from WU. Can you access this link? http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/thanks.aspx

I think you can just leave iTunes for now and first install UR1 and then just run Windows Update and install EVERYTHING available there. After that you can try to play around with iTunes again.
