  1. Here you go: http://www.MSFN.org/unattended/xp/hacked_files.htm Works very well!
  2. They're all about the same. MDAC is the one that needs to be installed differently from the rest.
  3. It should do.. (if it doesn't, ditch it for calling itself a firewall) But still, you should patch Windows. A temporary solution is to view the properties of the RPC Service and tell it not to restart on failure of service. The restarting of the PC was an unwanted effect by hackers in the RPC flaw, but its been said they've got around that problem, so you'll never know when they're in your PC.

  5. marshmellow, see my reply at the bottom of this thread to explain why that update isn't in the main list.
  6. http://www.MSFN.org/unattended/xp/downloads.htm 2nd download on the list
  7. The ASN.1 update works fine in svcpack. Even the font update works in svcpack when installed before Office 2003, but installing Office 2003 afterwards restores the bad symbols and WU doesn't notice the change :/
  8. Should be OK in svcpack, but I'll let you know in an hour knewman01 - I'll add that to the next unattended test and see if it works without Office 2003 being installed. Will install Office 2003 afterwards to see if the patch still took effect then.
  9. The core files of 828026 remain unchanged, its the update.inf that's been updated. It's importing additional registry entries.
  10. Yeah I noticed that too, MS is desperate to get rid of that Nazi symbol in the Bookshelf font, so they go to desperate measures to list it as a Windows Critical(lol) Update. That's what I think anyway
  11. Q828028 added to the list. (ASN.1 Vulnerability Could Allow Code Execution)
  12. That's a good find squallgreg, if only they could comment their reg file to show which spyware its blocking in each entry, it would be better.
  13. Check every single cmd file you use in svcpack and cmdlines.txt, there's likely to be a missing EXIT if you're using "cmdow" to hide the command prompt windows. P.S. Please make a seperate thread in future as this is off-topic to Hotfixes and unnecessarily clutters up this thread.
  14. If i run them in GuiRunOnce will they be applied to the default user ? No that won't work
  15. Shouldn't worry about that too much, most Web developers will rush to fix it on the popular sites as IE is the most used browser on the Internet. ner - the errors shown in kb826939.log is normal. The errors even show on a Windows XP system which was installed manually, as well as the Update Rollup. (When I say manually, its not unattended)
  16. Use a cmd file from svcpack.inf to be on the safe side. But since you mentioned you're using cmdlines.txt you might as well use that instead. Add a "REGEDIT /S regtweaks.reg" under [Commands] in cmdlines.txt. Put both files in the $OEM$ folder. btw, this should be asked in a seperate thread as its not related to the hotfixes.
  17. No, keep them as they are, but import them during Windows Setup (you'll need to use cmdlines.txt, or you could do it from svcpack.inf too) http://unattended.MSFN.org/xp/hkcu_registry.htm
  18. ner, you've named your svcpack file wrong, it should be inf not ini. That's why Windows doesn't install your hotfixes. Make sure you've deleted svcpack.in_ as well from the i386 folder.
  19. I don't know why you renamed ENU_Q832483_MDAC_x86.EXE to MDAC_TYP.exe, because ENU_Q832483_MDAC_x86.EXE is an update for MDAC_TYP.exe Install MDAC, reboot, then install the update. (MDAC from svcpack.inf then the Update on first logon)
  20. ner - Parts of this page explains how: http://unattended.MSFN.org/xp/autologon.htm

www.danasoft.com That kind of signature from danasoft is getting boring now, it got over-used.
  22. Don't use the msi, use the setup.exe file. Execute as: setup.exe /qn Reboot=Suppress
