  1. Nope, it's not yet officially released by Microsoft, what you see on frontpage are only news of pre-betas being leaked. SP2 is due at the end of 2003, or the first quarter of 2004. edit: heh, asklepios beat me to it
  2. I'm gobsmacked w00t
  3. Thanks, already posted some time ago
  4. Thanks, we already posted this some time ago. Also, please do not falsely name your links. That site was not .project (which can be found at www.dotproject.org instead).
  5. I'm sure it has Solitaire (lol do you play that crap?) Win2k3 isn't a gaming OS, so don't expect Microsoft to support Gaming and Multimedia on Win2k3 and release patches to fix any future problems relating to it. Some users who take this path could probably get stuck in a few months time, and will end up going back to XP.
  6. kAge, please do not triple post, your question has already been replied to on Frontpage Comments. Rest assured we do read all threads on MSFN. http://www.msfn.org/comments.php?catid=1&i...d=2021#comments

  8. An April Fools joke has seven young men in Sturgis explaining a punchline that the police say was no laughing matter. They put up signs that read "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US, YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME." It's a phrase, interpreted, that comes from a 1989 Japanese video game. It grew into an Internet cult with many web sites and even a music video devoted to it. The young men, ranging in ages from 17 to 20, found it and thought it was funny. The video shows the words "ALL YOUR BASE" on everything, including businesses. They explain they were just doing the same thing hoping to get a laugh out of people when they saw the phrase everywhere. "We thought it was funny. I thought everybody else would think it was funny too," explains J. P. Wolf, one of the men who taped up the signs. "It wasn't meant to be anything harmful," adds friend Kyle Woodward. "It was just a joke. We wanted to make people laugh and that was it. We didn't have any clue it was going to come out something like this." 9. Find out your mobo model (usually on your manual, or open up the case and look inside for any numbering) Then look it up on the mobo manufacturer site.

    Hi

Will be good to have you around David
  11. I should also mention that some Download Managers do not work well with sites that have anti-leech enabled. Please use the default browser downloader.
  12. If you clicked to download MSN Messenger from another site.. it simply won't work. Make sure you're viewing MSFN.org in your browser and then try to attempt to download. If that didn't work, please tell us what browser and version you're using.

  20. Thanks for letting us know but we stick to Microsoft related infomation on our frontpage, and not Linux or Mac, unlike the other sites who can't get their aims straight unfortunately It's what makes MSFN unique really
  21. Doggie, respect other people's bandwidth. Host it on the webspace where you previously hosted your old sig, you could host it on geocities using the txt extension trick, works pretty well
  22. Give up on it, it's not really meant to be used as a Primary OS at all. It's in very early stages of development, and nothing will work perfectly on it. Wait until it's in its beta stages, it will become more usuable like it was in the days of the Windows XP betas.
  23. Some hacked themes causes the error in Add/Remove. Switch back to Classic/Luna, and then Add/Remove will work as it should. When you've finished, switch back to your favourite theme! bah, sed beat me to it, lol

    Open With Error

It looks like the registry values for the "Open with..." has gone missing from your registry. Unfortunately, I don't know the values to restore them, but a reinstall of Service Pack 1, or running System File Checker from the command prompt (sfc /?) will most likely restore these specific registry values.
  25. A case is still Hardware. The forum name doesn't suggest that its meant for discussion on hardware that's overclocked, but Hardware and Overclocking.
