  1. It was mentioned earlier in the thread... Alcohol 120%
  2. We don't condone warez or discussion of circumventing Windows Product Activation, as outlined in the MSFN rules. Topic Closed
  3. nailed it! Sorted out my problem with timezone, components, and screen res, all because of one line: UnattendMode=ProvideDefault So, I changed it to: UnattendMode=FullUnattended The difference is you won't get setup boxes prompting you the questions with default answers provided. I suppose I can live with that. by the way, also got MSN 5, Net Framework 1.1, WMP9, all my favourite reghacks, patched uxtheme, and powertoys silently installed automatically. Find out how at http://unattended.netfirms.com
  4. maLiCiOuSoPtIoNs was referring to burning them. If you want to copy them then I believe Alcohol 120% is able to do that, the protection on PSX discs are very easy to bypass.
  5. There's no special procedure behind it, the bin/cue or ISO can be just burned to CD using any burning application that supports the burning of image files. (Nero, Easy CD Creator, CD-Mate) Its your PSX that needs to be chipped to be able to read CD-R discs though.
  6. You forgot to mention what sound card you got, but try the sound card's XP drivers to see if this high pitched hum goes away.
  7. its not official no, its a pre-beta. When a software is listed on the MS Betas Update column (in the navbar on frontpage) its still in development and not final.
  8. Moved to Windows XP
  9. Ad-Aware 6 should clean out the spyware for you, and for some of the spyware it can't delete - it will do so on the next boot up. http://www.lavasoftusa.com
  10. keep us posted! Andy will probably want to know about this so he can add it to his Workstation guide
  11. I don't think its there... the User bitmap was part of the Welcome Screen and Fast User Switching, which doesn't exist in a Server OS
  12. A happy birthday to one of our long-time MSFN members!
  13. What error message do you get when you try to install DX9 from web setup?
  14. It's s shame that link died, one of the best around. There are alternatives, a bit poor but understandable
  15. Most likely because your card isn't supported
  16. It doesn't seem to exist having looked at http://office.microsoft.com/Assistance/979...viewerscvt.aspx and Microsoft's Download Center.
  17. here's a tip, instead of using: server1@mail02.emailcourrier.com server1@mail02a.emailcourrier.com server1@mail03.emailcourrier.com server1@mail04.emailcourrier.com server1@mail05.emailcourrier.com server1@mail06.emailcourrier.com server1@mail07.emailcourrier.com server1@mail08.emailcourrier.com server1@mail09.emailcourrier.com Use: *emailcourrier.com it will block all spam from that domain
  18. yeah wasder you're right, nice hack by the way
  19. The DNSBL lists don't belong to SpamPal (or maintained by them), they're available to use for anybody.
  20. There are already DNSBL lists in existance - databases of known spammers. SpamPal uses those DNSBL lists to stop spam.
  21. By opening one of the i386 files with WinRAR, it shows it as a "CAB Archive" And at the command prompt: makecab /? C:\>makecab /? Microsoft (R) Cabinet Maker - Version 5.00.2134.1 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corp. 1981-1999. MAKECAB [/V[n]] [/D var=value ...] [/L dir] source [destination] MAKECAB [/V[n]] [/D var=value ...] /F directive_file [...] source File to compress. destination File name to give compressed file. If omitted, the last character of the source file name is replaced with an underscore (_) and used as the destination. /F directives A file with MakeCAB directives (may be repeated). /D var=value Defines variable with specified value. /L dir Location to place destination (default is current directory). /V[n] Verbosity level (1..3). Note the underscore.
  22. it still uses CAB compression, whether it has a .cab extension or not.
  23. This could have something to do with MenuShowDelay, have you tweaked it to 0? http://www.msfn.org/win2k3/tweaks.htm scroll down to the bottom, the answer is there if that's what you're looking for.
