  1. Hello! Yesterday I got my hands on a computer with a Pentium II processor, 64 mb RAM and a 6 gig harddrive. It runs Windows 98 Gold (first edition). Now, I'd like to upgrade to 98 SE for more stability and better software compatibility. However, it has the Plus! pack installed wich I don't want to lose. So, can I safely upgrade to 98 SE without losing it?
  2. I have Cleartype turned on for LCD monitors, and off for CRTs. Most people who thinks it looks blurry on LCDs might have it improperly configured; some monitors have the pixels in the opposite order eg. Blue-Green-Red instead of the normal Red-Green-Blue.
  3. Oh. That explains why the others didn't work Anyway, great work, I love it!
  4. I gave up on 3.5.5 and reverted back to 2.72, but when I ran the installer I got this: I've EZ Installed kernel32 to the specified directory, but it still doesn't work. Could you please translate the PDN installation guide to English?
  5. Yes and yes. EDIT: It seems like the Uber skin works good, but none of the others.
  6. Extracted the files manually with 7-zip, and tried to run the file PaintDotNet.msi in the folder $_OUTDIR. It resulted in this error message: Translated to english: This installation package is not supported by this CPU type. Please contact the hardware reseller. CPU: Intel Celeron III Tualatin 1200 Mhz.
  7. Yes, I do. I've checked all of the settings except "force desktop text color".
  8. Hello WildBill! Sorry for being a bit impatient, but do you know what could be the cause of the skinning problems I experience? Here's some display specific information: Video card: ATi Radeon 9200 SE Driver version: 8.231.0.0, 2006-02-21 DirectX version: 9.0c w/ 2010 SDK
  9. I just checked, and it seems okay. I've got 62 files in total.
  10. I run the installer, wich begins to extract neccesary installation files. It finishes, and then nothing happends. Oh well, not really nothing, I see a flash on the screen wich might be the installation program, but nothing happends. When I installed .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 I was told to install another update wich would improve compatibility, but I didn't do that. Could that be the cause of my problem? I also have the Swedish version on Windows 2000, while your version of .NET is in English/Japanese. Can I use Microsofts standard language pack for language support? EDIT: I checked the temp directory, and the PdnSetup folder was empty, even though the installer clearly extracted files to it.
  11. I just tested out 1.0.9, and the skinning module is completely broken (see attached screenshot).
  12. Hi! This looks like a great idea, but it doesn't work properly; when I try to install Paint.NET, the installer extracts the neccesary installation files, but the actual installation program never starts.
  13. Hot. Anyway, the only installation packager that I know of is Install Creator, but I'm not sure if it can add registry values; at least not the free version.
  14. This looks absolutely amazing! I can't wait until 1.0.5 is out. Anyway, do you take suggestions? If you do, here's a few: * Try to integrate themes into the Appereance tab, just like in RP9. * Use the ClearType rasterizer that's used in Revolutions Pack 9. The standard text smoothing gets blurry even on a TFT screen. * Add an enable/disable ClearType checkbox to the Effects tab. Also add a button besides it that opens the configuration utility. * Package the program into a real installer. * Make the program start up automaticly using the registry. * Finally, get rid of the tray icon.
  15. Isn't KDW language dependant? I'd prefer to not have English mixed into my system.
  16. Hello! I'm trying to get a game called "Blockland" to run on Windows 2000 Pro SP4. The game installs fine, but when I run it, I get this error: Translated to english it means "Cannot find procedure startup adress GetAdaptersAdresses in the DLL-file iphlpapi.dll". I used linux to replace the file with one I found on a DLL download website, but I ended up make Windows unbootable. So, now I wonder if anyone here please could help me fix this? To make matters worse, I have a swedish version of Windows. Thanks in advance
  17. This is awesome! It seems like Windows 98 won't die anytime soon Do you have any plans on porting it to Windows 2000?
