i have specifed a custom theme in my winnt.sif but is being ignored beacuse i have to go into services and hit start on the themes (its listed as automatic) even with out a cusotm theme in the winnt.sif the classic theme is laoded instead of luna Im testing an iso on connectix virtual pc 6.everythign elase loads fine custom setup screens logon wallpaper via a reg tweak could this be conflicting somehow? apps etc xp pro sp2 slipstreamed with ntlite and i did not remove anythign to do with themes in there I would aprreciate any help on this one

im no expert but this here [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup] "SourcePath"="%systemroot%" "ServicePackSourcePath"="%systemroot%" I think should be [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup] "SourcePath"="%systemroot%\i386" "ServicePackSourcePath"="%systemroot\i386%" Can someone confirm?

pointless when u consider cdrs are pennies these days u should use virtual pc to test the cd with out affecting you current setup

You can insatll sp2 onto a sp1 machine but for a cd use a clean source (with out sp1 slipstremed)

ultra noob here so be nice if i edit something from the sytem32 folder in windows with res hack etc then add this to the $OEM$\$$\SYSTEM32 directorty on my custom cd that file be be insatlled automatically? thanks for this amzing forum! edit just thought id mention the above link is not sp2 compatible yet but the author will release a working version soon i beleive or maybe it is? http://www.crystalxp.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=203
