I think the problem may be with your Update List. The italian version had a mistake in that update. Try going to http://wud.jcarle.com/ and downloading an updated ITA update list.

The problem is not the Update List, the problem is that you are using a version of WUD that is too old. You need to update your program version.

All that is required is that if it's an uncompressed UL, it must have a .ul extension and be copied to the program's folder. It is a compressed UL, it must have the .ulz extension, and with the current version of WUD installed, simply double-clicking on it will install it.

WUD's server has been undergoing maintenance lately, that is why sometimes it appears down.

Due to the number of changes in this release, including the changes in the update list formats, it is highly recommended that everyone update their versions to version 2.23. Versions prior to 2.23 cannot open the current update lists. However, update lists created for prior versions of WUD are backwards compatible with the current version of WUD. WUD Update Lists should now include the new XML Schema Definition. This will help you insure that your update list is well formed. The XSD can be found at http://wud.jcarle.com/wud.xsd. Example usage within a UL <updatelist product="" platform="" language="" lastupdate="" xmlns="http://wud.jcarle.com" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://wud.jcarle.com http://wud.jcarle.com/wud.xsd"> You can also use the W3C XSD Validation Tool to validate your UL once you've included the XSD.

The .NET Compact Framework is not the same as the .NET Framework. You must install the complete .NET Framework for WUD. The compact framework is primarily for developing portable applications for mobile devices.

Not a WUD bug, a UL error, but I fixed it for marchino74.
