I can be relay fast about it: No, this has been tried, and is impossible to do. you just have to find another way for the controls.

There is a large update to the program. It now has an external update-program to let it allow program updates. Also, the small bugs and suggestions from the above posts have been put in. The download as usual can be found in my signature below.

I just found out, that is it part of the Reg Add command, and means: "The existing registry-entry will be overwritten without notice". To see this for your self, go to start, run and type "cmd" (without the qoutes) the press enter. at the commandline type "reg add /?" (without the qoutes). then look it up for yourself to verify

I want to silently install my HP Laserjet 4 (PCL5e) printer using the buildin printers of windows xp. i haven't found any solution to my problem. can you give me the help on this problem.

Just a small question. Did you run it on your already installed (meaning windows xp was installed and also a lot of programs) machine? or did you use the unattended dvd you build?

Unfortunatly, this is not possible, because that virtual drive that comes with alcohol, is SOFTWARE, and when windows XP is not completely loaded (in normal mode and not safe-mode), is doesn't recognise that virtual cd-romdrive

The worst thing that had hapend to me, is that i put a full 3 1/4 inch disk in the drive, opend windows explorer go to the a drive, and after about 5 hours a message popped up saying to me "The disk in drive A: is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?". i went completly nuts over it, because it took 5 hours

There is no need for extraction Just use a /s switch (warning. it's case sensitive, so keep the s in lowercase)

I've looked up the version of my msdart.dll file, and it's version 2.71.9042.0 If you post your version of that file (its in %systemroot%\system32), then we can compare what and where might be wrong SmallUpdate of the program: Corrected VersionNumber in the aboutbox, showed a hand in the aboutbox on the pictures, so that you know that they are clickable

That problem doesn't come from my program, but 1 (or more) of your installed programs my have replaced that dll with an older version. The 2nd problem will be solved tomorrow (it's 3:40 am here)

The new version with the above suggestions worked into it. There is only 1 small thing. The Helpfile is NOT updated yes. Also, the promised 250 programs that will be added to the database is not yet done. there is 1 program extra wich is not yet on the list. (Skype .95 beta is added) If you want to add your own program to the Main database of the program, wich will be added in the updatefile, the submit your program to me thru a Private Message. Only submit the following: The Extraction is only a yes or no. If extraction is needed in a special way, (like run the main installer and look in a special folder to find another file there) then include that in the pm.

@Jose: i will add that kind of stuff to the helpfile, because not that many programs have to be extracted. @Aaron: Thanks. i enjoy it that you will add it there. @Felix: I currently am adding about 250 programs to the list, but any help is always helpfull @war59312: The autoupdate feature is on it's way in the next version. (Possibly 2.0) (done) There will be a dropdown list, in wich you can type the name of the program. (done) It will be sorted alfabeticly (done) I Left the X out on purpose, so that you realy have to push the cancel button, because i know that many people like the X, but it's not a correct way of closing a program. (Will have a descent menu in the next version (done)) @Mazin: The user adding part will be incorporated in the next version. (done) The uninstaller is not my work. it is a standard program (Inno Setup) and can't control that yet.
