i would be a windows killer , but what you want is steamos : for gaming and windows for working ;'] Ultimist i joke but not so much , the main think that makes windows so fat is the dll system that ms uses too much and with making a lot of change inside the files . so now there is a folder WinSxS [ mine is bigger than 6 Go with a quite fresh w2012 ] that keeps all versions that softwares install ...and not only for dlls shrinking windows obliges to check all the dlls , exe ....about the use of some parts in the others files already installed . linux shows clearly what files or "dlls" a software uses but windows NO , and for all files of it... that is why nuhi should spend a lot of time working instead of visiting the forum </3 </3

i agree with every body that we all have to pay our bills , the crisis is very hard with little chicken like us : i also work in the pc world : i build watercooled computers and dvdrom linux live servers for games . what i mean is that nuhi should be already paid , even few bucks , by this forum that has some adverts and use its products to make people come here . some says i do not have the spirit of a sharer but is the forum and its "highest" are so exemplary ? for the rest , you link to os 10.7 Kelsenellenelvian , first line shows a link to 10.9 that is free to download for apple customers , 8.1 did it a bit like that with w8 ... i do not say that the software should be free , but even in the game world : with marvel or dc online , or dota ,tf2 from valve ....they do more money with the adds in forum or by selling some plus in game than selling it . of course with the software nuhi is making that apply changes once before install it is not that easy to charge : after when user wants more that is the market and os are showing the same trend . if i were you i would set up a forum and let people gives you some money , then you can also offer to create some dvdrom to install for specific hardware with drivers and updates of them to earn more money . [good luck finding a job] by the way , i am sure next windows will come with such a tool as xplite , look at the removal tool of windows that is getting more and more functions and remove possibilities .

you are doing a big mistake with your complex registration system .... it will be cracked as fastly as it happened to win8 8.1 despite the very complex system M$ created for registration first of all : because the major thief in windows ' world is windows . do you still hear the winamp word or see it decoding mp3 ? second of all because win9 will be free like apple os or linux

may be i should have said that now i use linux most of the time on my latest computer mostly because the os is really lighter and faster than windows ;'] mint17 and steamos are very cool and they are a lot of bugs to find with steam nuhi is a superstar and if he makes something out , he will get a good and powerful and wonderful feedback about his next tool ...so that means he can create something very good again while it seems nearly impossible . by the way he could and should SHOW ON instead of staying in the dark of his Cavern <3 ;']

thank you to be back . i would like to have some win 7 or 8 very slim but with best performance for gamer pc or server . may be you should also add firadisk+vhd+grubfordos support : they are the tools to load os in ram . even a 11 Go vhd [made with unlocker for few deletion] for 16 Go of ram is very cool and stable for the very new things to add , i think it is a tool that read lastsession.ini , plus the original win 7 or 8 iso and the iso used for install , and the windows installed . so the tool would find where the install sequence started to derail . may be another tool to check dependencies could help to have stable nlited os . i hope you ll give us something for x-mas , even only for win7 x64 without sp1

i ll try it and that should help me to quickly find the good parameters . if you look at the picture you see that there is only one entry for win 8 : the one from the boot disk , but no info for the second may be because they use same bootloader command in the menu you also see two entry for ubuntu , that are fully written : for ubuntu i have two : BCD ID: {4418fe06-695a-11e2-b3d1-806e6f6e6963} Bootloader Path: EFI\Ubuntu\grubx64.efi how can i find the BCD ID of the drives or the "Device:" parameter ?

i made two install of win 8 and one of kubuntu that are well working . i used a drive with every os , with the others not connected to prevent errors and be more easy to select the one i want to boot . by now i would like to clean my efi boot partitions because after testing ubuntu and removing it for kubuntu , i have two entry for them while one is no longer valid . i also would like to select between the two win8 without having to get in the bios . at least , if someone knows how to turn win8 vga menu selector to the text one used by win7 . i ll be glad . here is a 4 x 1440 x 900 : http://i.imgur.com/oMkPZb5.jpg

M$ has done wrong with the removal of the start button , linux - gnome did the same month ago and it was "not a sucess" as well. metro should not be so bad but they should have made it more like the control-panel instead of the main-screen . for the rest M$ is really doing like nvidia and physx [ not allowed if pc has an ati vga card..] with its new security-chain from boot that makes linux or even previous windows un-bootable . physx case is very weird because M$ allows that and even signs drivers while in fact that is a VIRUS

thanks for advices , i do the save and notepad acts as it wants and add it.... i also seen that M$ antivirus reads the file and can not bear to read 127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com it removes the line without warnings... i found the option to keep "the freedom to edit the file" in the quarantine...

when i do changes and try to save , the box shows: so i do like it says and move file in system32/drivers/etc folder with a new explorer with admin rights , by the way M$ should writes some ip to prevent botnets like this one using steam emu

steam.exe is spying users : it is like that for achievements for the host file [ that is very hard to edit by user ] , i posted it because the steam emulator reports to a unknow host some infos.. like the ip , etc .. for sure it can do others things like files transfers or else , i have not the tools to check that ;'[

your way of installing windows 7 is the same hp used with the touchsmart . i find it good but not that much . first i prefer to have the first partition being at 2 Go and formated with fat16 . second after installing windows 7 , is to create a grub4dos entry in the boot menu third is to install the win98 boot files to be able to update the bios then may be add to the grub menu some linux or bartpe iso image to do backup of the second partition onto the third

cool to read you nearly have all softwares for an idea like defram about the power crash , for security an ups is needed for desktop pc but most of nowadays pcs are laptops having this protection in a week or two i will have 3 hd of 2 To and a dual xeon mobo with 24 Go of ram . as i make this for watercooling : it should be running next month then i will be able to test more what you make .
