To all you wonderful People: I have Windows 7 Ultimate (6.1.7600,16386) x64 edition. I noticed that all the Windows bootscreen changes have been changed on a beta copy. How is this done on Windows 7 Final (6.1.7600.16386)? I tried this on this copy but it didn't work, I know that MS doesn't support this. I am trying to change the animation, thank you , John

Please Help, I mount image 2 of boot.wim. then I edited all the font typefaces of the dialog boxes in w32uires.dll then I unmounted it. Tested it out in vmware and nothing was changed. what did I do wrong? John

Hello all you nice people, I have created my own bootscreen, and used msconfig and checked No GUI Boot, and make all boot settings permanent. Windows Vista boots up with the customized screen, but when I test in Vmware it comes up with the default screen is there a way to fix this? John

try the msoobe.exe.mui file it has the string! In the msoobe.exe.mui file it has these lines: "20pt;;;Federation;ClearType" "9pt;;;Another Typewriter;ClearType" "8pt;;;OldNewspaperTypes;ClearType" What do they do? John

How do they do it? Can they be used in other stringtables with different fonts? Where are these fonts loaded from? John

The first set of files is out of w32uiimg.dll, the second set is from authui.dll what do each of the set of buttons mean ? Are they a throwback from XP these are from vista! John
