im switchin from dial-up to dsl(128kb) ,i wanted to know if i theres any tweak for tcp/ip settings on windows so i can have a better performance or higher speed. software or manual ,any good idea? thanks

wai there is no downloadable rulset for zonealarm but you can tell us what do you need/expect youre zone alarm do for you so someone can buils the rulset for u and then give it to you somehow.

thank you guys,i had ehtereal but main problem with ethereal is that its just made for troubleshooting,it capture the packet in an specified time and dont real time monitor it so you have to stop it befor you can see the result. and im gonna check those two too. you all rocks just one more thing,netmonitor that you gave its link is not a packet monitor software its just a bandwight monitor. thanks.

im using outpost 2.6 and i have a dial-up connection with a workgroup local area connection.i want to block services port(0-1024)for dial-up and a normal security on them for local connection. i made a 3 rule for blocking 0-1024 on system tab->rules and marked the trust in lan settings.is it what i want? and i wanna block echo reply for dial-up and allow for loacal connection,is it possible with outpost? thanks.

thanks guys,i believe that is the prblem but as i remember there was a tab in advanced properties of nvidia drivers for the diffrente display's settings like the format of display(like ntsc) but as you can see the tab is gone but when i restart it appears and when i close the window and open it again its gone again and i need to restart for it. why is that?

ok i have geforce fx 5600 256mb with two output for monitor and one s-video. the problem is that i attached my tv to s-video but its black&white but i wanna have my tv attached and watch movie so i need it to be colored. anyway? is it even possible? i use 6.6.9.3 driver if its helpful.

i installed a fresh new 2k3 enterprise then DHCP and MANAGING AND MONITORING TOOLS and then when i try to install the dns ,during installation it says " one or more services for the DNS component took more than their allotted time to start.installation will continue,but services will not be available until they have started compeletly". anyone knows how to deal with that? thanks

alright,im using nvidia card's for about 4,5 years but i never seen an article for what exactly are the options in the driver and what they do and what are theire effects on games performance or quality . or how can we configure the driver for the best performance or like is there any useful tool for nvidia cards that helps. anyone knows any article that helps?
