ok titan, probably seeing as its a beta, probably could be working on a new server. a leaked version once had the main messenger server has messenger.msn.com but the usual standard one is messenger.hotmail.com.. have a look in your registry and see what server its running from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MessengerService > Server

i'm guessin this os would be 95 or 98.. if thats the case, just install with the provided CD.. i had a friend with the same problem.. it didn't detect and manually installed it

well when that appears, it doesn't mean ur system has run out of memory.. usually means theres a problem with the setup files
