Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware Beta 1.0.701
Solid as a rock replied to tarquel's topic in Application Installs
ok. didn't know that... will give it a try -
I think i'm going to proof you wrong. My RunOnceEx is not working at the moment, but I put the theme files in the $$ OEM directory and used the WINNT.SIF and the first boot did use the royal theme. If I have more time I'll fix my RunOnceEx en post the code I used. i am talking about "BEFORE the firstboot", meaning during windowssetup and during WPIsetup (runonceex is a part of WPIsetup) you will not see any themes. but be my guest and proof it to me

Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware Beta 1.0.701
Solid as a rock replied to tarquel's topic in Application Installs
How can that work? The /qb needs to be after the msi filename. 31 December 2005 MS AntiSpyware will stop and do nothing anymore, you have to be upgraded to the new version which is called another name (a name like defender or something that). i stay get in troubles to install this app and i remove it from WPI. (101 error). it is still a deathending way. (do i say it correctly?) -

UXTheme & SFC_Os.dll without reboot/safemode ?
Solid as a rock replied to Sonic's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
ermm... it wasnt a command, it was a idea and a bit explaining. if it was real a commandline then i have writed it between tags. however, i dont know a solution for you... -
i am sorry to tell you there is a small problem again... when entering Microsoft Update, it tell me the languagepack of framework isnt installed. i didnt know if you want to hear this, but i like to advice you to change the icon of your creator. because 2 reasons: 1. it looks to much at the result which may confusing. and 2. it looks better and proffesional.

UXTheme & SFC_Os.dll without reboot/safemode ?
Solid as a rock replied to Sonic's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
The rename method doesn't work for uxtheme.dll the start bar bug after reboot .. in safemode it's okay. and yes I wouldn't like integration in i386 ... The rename method for sfc_os seems works ... you do use WPI? add a checkbox with commandline as if: copy uxtheme.dll to i386 on harddisk? so you are free to patch them or not... -

Thanks!! it dont give a permanent solution, after setup is finished and you install more program, the startmenu isnt ordered anymore. but ok, "as close to a permanent solution"...

i like the program description, but it popups to much. when hovering over a few programs, you will see POPPOPPOPPOPPOPPOP.... in your screen like a popupattack, it drive me crazy... How to slow down the popuptime? also is it possible i check the checkbox without see popup, want only see a popup when hovered over a programname? (and i know i can disable the programdescription, but that is not the question...) edit: maybe a small icon with I (like informationbutton) and if hovered over an "I" you will see a popup? or an button to see information in a popupwindow... would that be a idea?

Replace RunonceEx to WPI , HELP
Solid as a rock replied to Oliii's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
OOPS... i thought you read the wrong howto, i have written another howto to get skinned windows work, and then you really need the $OEM$ folder. i was forgotten runonceex exist too in OEM. so you need them again. my bad... and it is here 6.00 in the morning, forgive me i sleep a bit... EDIT: do if exist %%i:WPI\wpi.ico set CDROM=%%i must be: do if exist %%i:\WPI\wpi.ico set CDROM=%%i that is your mistake i believe... -
you knows 4.7 will work at the MSN network without any patches or hacks?

Replace RunonceEx to WPI , HELP
Solid as a rock replied to Oliii's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
OOPS.... removed the wrong information -
if you dont use my way as if described in the first post, you will NOT see the royaltheme skinned windows during runonceex. slipstream into xp there is no need, just place it in $OEM$ and it will copied at the beginning of the whole setup. also winnt.sif specified theme dont works BEFORE the firstboot.

Can you tell me if the code of my Batch_file is just?
Solid as a rock replied to wiiiman's topic in Application Installs
he means you need to write [ code ] your cmd [ /code ] (without spaces , it looks much better and more clear for other members. and yes, we are very sure Dx9c is already included in SP2, (i think you already have slipstreamed SP2 to your windowsdisk?). at the top of this forum you will notice a "unattended cd/dvd guide". there you will read much more info, and as if you want, you could read the dutch translate too at the same adres at the bottom. and you can test your cmd to USE it, (at another unused pc? or use VMWare, or ViritualPC). again, at the howto which i am talking about you will read more... we all begin here as newbees, but we cant post all our cmd or other things and ask: look this good? run it, if error occurs and you cant find out what the problem is, ask it here. -
Can you tell me if the code of my Batch_file is just?
Solid as a rock replied to wiiiman's topic in Application Installs
Let me ask you... if all members from MSFN post their cmd and all ask if it is written well (without test it by themself and look if they get errors or problems). would that be nice? -
yes i use XP SP2 Proffesional with al hotfixes downloaded and already have framework 1.1 installed. now i am be able to create the packet and no errors occurs again and the packet succesfully finished created. i cant test this pack. you have to wait i need time to test it on the next VMWare install. please change 1 thing. the name of your exe is dotnet11.exe (dont know why) and the result is called dot11net.exe. this may be confusing some people. better give it a name like:"Silent_NetfxSP1.exe" or something like that.
