see image below to see what i am talking about... and no, i am not able to use other themes than Royaltheme during runonceex.cmd simply i dont know how, i get this info a long time ago from someone. when ready with the setup you will see a change from royaltheme skinned windows to your choosen theme skinned windows which is specified in winnt.sif (IF you dont have set royaltheme as your default theme, if it is, than you dont see any changes when entering windows after setup). and simply add the royaltheme to \$OEM$\$$\Resources\Themes at your disk. edit: screenshot moved to the first post of this thread

WHY do you want to copy WPI and other programs to the harddisk? Everything you copied to the harddisk and installs or excute have to be removed after completing install, it fragmented your disk, also slowdown your total setuptime. Needles to do that!! please install or excute almost everything direct from cd or dvd to win time and space. Let me tell you how to do this. Create a map called "Install" and place it at the root of the disk. Download the WPI 4.3.5. and unzip it to "Install". Go to WPI.cmd and rewrite the next lines to: REM Example, how to look for CDROM-drive. Must have WPI.ico at the root of the CD. for %%i in (C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z) do if exist %%i:\install\wpi\wpi.ico set CDROM=%%i: echo Found CD-Rom as drive %CDROM% REM Determine the WPI startup path. REM if wpi should run off the cd the replace %~dp0 with %cdrom%. set wpipath=%cdrom%\install\wpi Also go to the generate.js and rewrite two lines wpi.ico to WIN51: if (FileExists(li[i]+'\\WIN51')) and if (FileExists(a+'\\WIN51')) i believe this is everything against bypassing WPI. place all your programs which you want to install in "INSTALL". (Doh...) Create a runonceex with: cmdow @ /HID @ECHO OFF for %%i in (C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z) do if exist %%i:\WIN51 set CDROM=%%i: SET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Install\WPI\WPI.cmd" /f EXIT Add to your cmdlines.txt the next line: [COMMANDS] "REGEDIT /S theme.reg" "RunOnceEx.cmd" RunOnceEx.cmd will always be the latest running program (cleanup.cmd the really latest but to not run into problems you better add cleanup.cmd to your WPI checkbox and give it the number 999. so that the program will forced to run as latest. The "REGEDIT /S theme.reg" is optional, if you followed my other HOWTO (also in WPI forum). Place RunOnceEx.cmd and cmdlines.txt in $OEM$. please note that everything in a map with a "$" in the title, will be copied to your harddisk and slowdown your total setuptime. so keep all "$"-maps small as if you can. dont throw unneedles big things in it! i believe this is everything. If you dont know how to edit .js or what cmdlines.txt is, then you arent ready to make a WPI disk at all. please move your a** to http://unattended.msfn.org/ and read everything and DO everything without asking to learn the basic things of creating unattended cd/dvd in your own language. No need to hurry, do it step to step. complete the howto and then come back here and create your WPI disk for other members: ENJOY! I hope Kelsenellenelvian change in the next version to install WPI directly from CD\DVD so bypassing is not needed anymore, this is a cleaner faster way.

i am not sure, i always add royaltheme to my cd but i dont use it because i use other theme for my windows. but if you dont add it and it dont work, then you have to add it... (maybe it works with other themes? i dont know... someone have to tested it out) so you will see a change from royaltheme to yourchosentheme at the entering of windows at the first time...

Well, when you are ready to install everything from WPI beautifullic GUI you will see a darkblue background and a ugly classical skinned runonceex window which tells you which programs are installing now and you think: holy cow, this could be done better.... Let me tell you: yes it could be done better i have attach my theme.reg as theme.txt. please rename the theme.txt to theme.reg and add it to your cmdlines.txt at the top of everything: [COMMANDS] "REGEDIT /S theme.reg" You must have royale theme at your cd\dvd in :\$OEM$\$$\Resources\Themes and the themes will automatically copied at the very beginning of the setup. no need for copycommands or SFX it. If you dont have royale theme, download it for free. Google at "Royale Theme". next time during runonceex after WPI you will see beautifullic Royale Theme skinned windows which is more candy eye than the classical windows. i dont know if this is possible with other themes, you have to found out by yourself and test it. Let me know if you find a way to use a non-offical theme used during setup... ENJOY theme.txt

Dont know why kelsenellenelvian choose this way instead the runonceex way. i am very unsure why WPI isnt copied. it have to be copied by default. The same question with you the howto is baaahaaad, dont use it, i cant find the right way. i have a worked framework 1.1 DUTCH from someone. let me know if you are dutch too. if you are english, use then the ryanvmframeworkpacket. Thank you!But I use the CHS pack,I have to find another way to integrate them i dont know what a CHS pack is, and what is your language of your Windows XP? -

For future updates. As part of my job, I do quarterly updates on many pcs, I just want to be able click update, download and install it and move on. RyanVM already say to you: the 7.05 from RyanVM is the most recent, so the updater will do nothing? however, you have the direct url to the full installer in a earlier post, install it with these switches: AdbeRdr705_full.exe /S /v/qn -

i have P4 2,8 Ghz with hyperthreading (this do you means with dualcore?) and it is now 33C after 4 hours gaming. this is because i have buyed a good cooling case. i use at the front 8 cm and at the back 12 CM fan,in the sidepanel is a hole so the cpu get cold fresh air directly from outside. the cpu is cooled with a standard intelcooler. the name of my case is coolermaster cavalier T03. but there are so many good cooling cases.... now it is 26C. stressed at 100% i am not sure but i believe 55C, i have to verify that.

what is your language? french? dutch? english? please fill in your language (in your profile) so other people knows you are from the same land and will PM you faster to speak about same problems or solutions. and believe me, there is no guide for dummies and it looks it will never come too but maybe is reading in your language easier to understand? By the way, the manual which is included by WPI is not so clear as the manual on WPI homepage. so please read the documentation on the homepage... also, if you dont have ANY experience, dont get to much in one time, first learn create basic unattended cd, then move 1 step higher, and you will become the same nivo as the most people here...

he what? do you speak english? "buttens on the head of the screen?" and you want to translate english to dutch? i might hope your dutch is much better you means: buttons at the top of the screen, right? and which buttons? be more clear please if you means the buttons on bashrat his howto, there is a copyright on it, no one may copy or recreate the looks of the MSFN layout. (i have read this a while time ago, dont know if this is changed...)

so i need to download the redistable framework 2.0 and install it with your switches and there will be no problems?
