I purchased a new Pentium computer. I had to do a rebuild to switch from AMD to Intel. However, the USB 2.0 driver was not installed. Do you know where they are located in my SP2 version? I did a search on the forum, but couldn't find anything.

When I run the MSI, the installer never shows up.

The files that NAR leaves in the working folder are still there when I install the MSI. Should I delete them prior to doing the install?

I started completely over again. Still failed. I tried to install it with setupx. Of course, that was manual install. It had my serial number correct. I got past that, and when it started installing, it failed halfway through. I then manually installed it from my CD. I thought something might be wrong with it. No problem. I give up. I might just do a repackager.

Do I need the quotes around my serial number?

I'm installing English, Nero Express, Nero Diskcopy(?), Nero Burning Rom. the photo program(?). I think there is a couple more, but I can't think of them.

Well, it's a step in the right direction, but no cigar. It has the links in the start menu (including ones I did not select), but none of them work. I went to the folder and clicked on the EXE files. It told me that Nero was not installed correctly and to reinstall. So I did. Same thing. For some reason, I feel that it might not be accepting the serial number. I wonder if it will work without it.

I have all the current files. I deleted all of my temp files before starting over. Same results. It did create the 'Nero' folder with a couple of empty subfolders that shouldn't be there at all.

The folder was there, but no files. Yes, I put my number in. Like I said: I followed your directions to the letter.

Problem is: I'm using the new version.

Well, I followed the instructions to the T. I got nothing. My machine went through the motions, but I got nothing. System Restore says that the items were installed, but nada. I did find my problem with the config.txt. I had an old version of the SFX Maker.

I'm trying to use your program, but where do I find config.txt?

I've tried both of your remedies. I can't get either one to work. I'm trying to use WPI.

I'm not sure we're on the same page. I'm trying to install Adobe Reader, and it says it installed, but it didn't. I tried it your way.

This is the way I did it with Partition Magic, wick is a ZIP file: I created a sub folder in WPI called Extracted. I extracted the file to that folder. In the box next to command, I put "%wpipath%\ExtractedFiles\Setup\setup.exe" It did install, but not unattended. I am using 7.1.1. I guess that's the current version. I just tried a few more programs, but all I get is "it can't be saved".

I finally figured out how to get it installed, but not unattended. Thanks for your help.

I guess nobody knows how to do it.
