  1. rules are easy: be a forum member an active member (50/100 posts or up) share your invitations with other forum members if you want them simply PM me and i'll post to who are given
  2. i only know 1 download manager that can grab those file types, it name is net transport and can download any type of streaming
  3. it's probably that you've replaced your logonui.exe original file in sp2 with 1 from sp1 that are not compatible. i guess the stylexp error it's just a colateral damage of the problem with logonui.exe. you'll solve the problem replacing your custom logon file with the default one of your current version of xp. about the "value creation failed..." it's an error of logonui, some variables used in the old sp1 logon now don't work with sp2.
  4. tempmode option does not work in the runonceex section, at leats for me. extract to a dir, run the app from that dir, and finally remove it.
  5. @RaveRod do U know anyway to don't install media player classic together with qt and real alternatives, and associate their file types to WMP10??
  6. i agree, also nettransport can download https and streaming
  7. here it is
  8. i don't know about this too, but what it's sure it's if m$ wants, it cans. ...and about piracy... i don't agree with you, this is principally intended for manufacturers not for home users. this way m$ give the oportunity to manufacturers of buying a license for a less price to justify the use of windows in their platforms, so m$ earns money and prevents the piracy the same way
  9. you miss the first purpose of every "unattended xp installer" ( ) which it's to shrink the installation and try to move 2gb into 1cd
  10. with winrar your source it's smaller about ~1~2mb. about the problem with wmp10 i've got the same removing wmp9 on sp2 final...
  11. LoL, also this method can be applied to other program or many programs. the administrative installation of office don't take a full cd so i'm thinking on adding photoshop or any other program to the list, just placing this lines on the script: start /wait %OFFICE%\SETUP.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- start /wait %OFFICE%\ApplicationDir01\Application01.exe start /wait %OFFICE%\ApplicationDir02\Application02.exe start /wait %OFFICE%\ApplicationDir..\Application...exe
  12. A new version of Windows XP comes to the market, "Windows Light" it's the lite version of Windows XP for countries of the 3rd world. Its price, 36$ far from the initial number of 180$. The price is justified by the limitations: 800x600 as maximum resolution, only capable of running 3 tasks at the same time, local net limitations and so on... It will probably force manufacturers to install a Palladyum type device, included with X-Box too, that prevents to run OSs like Linux and third party programs. Finally it will block some p2p programs like eDonkey or eMule. Finally Windows XP Started Edition will included the DRM technology that blocks the playback of digital book copies, mp3 or DivX. Translated by me from here, sorry for mistakes
  13. @Famer sorry, 1 of the points was correct http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/roadmap.html
  14. no problem guy, lot of threads here and not every1 is aware of them
  15. i doubt both things
  16. resurrecting an old thread...what about a sfc fix for sp2?
  17. hahahahaha i agree the invitations thing seems to be stupid but apart from the google control, i think it's the best way to attract the attention of user like "hey i've got invitations to share" or "one invitation please!!". good marketing the one from google
  18. @j4ever it can be done via sfcpack.inf too, but i don't use this method because there are not many updates on sp2 to slipstream in and runonceex looks better your code it's ok for svcpack.inf information look at unattended guide
  19. any admin will advice you to not reply yourself and search first your questions wmp10 net framework 1.1 sp1
  20. @j4ever of course! but to use the CDROM variable you need to stablish it, my code for example it's: FOR %%d IN (c: d: e: f: g: h: i: j: k: l: m: n: o: p: q: r: s: t: u: v: w: x: y: z:) DO IF EXIST %%d\$OEM$\BioHaZaRD.nfo SET CDROM=%%d with BioHaZaRD.nfo on $OEM$ path
  21. don't wanna answer this post but this... ... if you simply don't want to do it, don't do it, m$ don't forces anyone
  22. i remember a thread with the same question and after lots of posts and asking alcatel, answer was that there isn't anyway to install the drivers unattended althought i've got a dir from my isp that has the drivers and i added them to the unattended install, problem it's that i haven't tested them yet
  23. i friend of mine was given an invitation, 3 days ago he registered his account and now he has 6 invites
