Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Indeed, sorry for the error, should be "steven4554's UL" of course. So why the differences in the KB ? There shouldn't be any difference, why have I missed some updates or superseded ones that shouldn't be there?- 666 replies

Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
system: Windows 7 SP1 x86 updates: 2013-03-12 (or latter) I'm a little bit confused - ulz files from you are different from ulz files at windowsupdatesdownloader.com. your ulz: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=36393 wud ulz: http://www.windowsupdatesdownloader.com/download.ashx?type=ul&id=213 I've found the following differences: (that is files in your ulz that are not in wud ulz and files in wud ulz that are not in your ulz) 1. Security Updates your ulz: Windows6.1-KB2503665-x86.msu Windows6.1-KB2532531-x86.msu wud ulz: Windows6.1-KB2618451-x86.msu 2. Non-Security Updates your ulz: rvkroots.exe Windows6.1-KB2633952-x86.msu Windows6.1-KB2647753-v4-x86.msu Windows6.1-KB2718704-x86.msu wud ulz: Windows6.1-KB2534366-x86.msu Windows6.1-KB2639308-x86.msu Windows6.1-KB2641690-x64.msu Windows6.1-KB2647753-v2-x86.msu Windows6.1-KB2762895-x86.msu Which ULZ is "more better" - your or that from windowsupdatesdownloader site? The ULZ on WUD site don't include third party programs like Adobe Flash Player or Display Drivers, etc... And I get the direct download links on MS Update Catalog site by viewing the source of the webpage after downloading the update(s)- 666 replies

steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
KB2503665 is still needed for x86, cause it wasn't superseded! KB2503665 on Win7 x64 was superseded by KB2645640.- 666 replies

1. I include the .net 4.5 installer, but i have no plans to include it's updates! 2. It will be in the next update list, which will be on Patch Tesday. 3. They are both the same, but MS still continues with testing future builds of MSE. Which is why both builds are included in the list.- 666 replies

Got that too. Looks like the x64 update file has a problem. Removing this section fixed it <update id="KB" category="0" publishdate="2013/" article="http://support.microsoft.com/kb/"> <title>Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 7 SP1 x64 Edition (KB)</title> <description>Security issues have been identified that could allow an attacker to compromise a computer running Microsoft Internet Explorer and gain control over it.</description> <filename>IE10-Windows6.1-KB-x64.msu</filename> <url></url> </update> It was also saved in ANSI format and not utf-8 You are correct, i will upload new lists on patch tuesday with them in utf-8 format. As for the section described above, that's in my list, i'm just getting ready for the first updates for IE10 that's all.- 666 replies

Try the other 3 updates first then install the Platform Update, then i would download and install IE10 cab file (available in my first post) as for using MDT 2012, ask someone else, as i've never used MDT. -
Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
I don't include IE8 or 9 updates in my lists anymore, since IE10 has been released! All the other updates have been ignored as most end users won't need them, cause they are mainly aimed at business users or people with servers. The final version of the platform update is now in the update lists of both 32-bit and 64-bit.- 666 replies

Sounds like a .net problem i had that 2 days ago, couldn't download anything, just restart your computer and it may fix the problem, otherwise you may need to contact JCarle as he is the one who made the program.- 666 replies

That's because IE10 needs 4 updates to be installed/integrated before IE10 can be installed/ntegrated, you will find those updates in my first post. -

Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Yes, i've been meaning to update my Win7 isos to include the non-integrateable updates, i'm thinking of also integrating .NET 4.5 and KB2506143 in the image too. I don't know why MS has these updates to be non- integrate status with dism (well except for KB2506143 as that update needs .NET 4.0 or 4.5) but i had integrated these updates in the past using dism, and it did give a error towards the end of installation!- 666 replies

Windows Vista SP2 Update UL List's! (x86 and x64)
steven4554 replied to sammey19's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
I hope it gets updated, or someone makes another one. I would do it, but i already provide update lists for XP/7 and 8! It would be a struggle to provide another set of ULZ's for Vista SP2. Just a shame you're not on Windows 7 SP1 as i always keep that set of ULZ's up to date! -

The only 3 ways i know is, Reverse Integration, which is a very time-consuming process or use a 3rd party software, like WInToolkit which now supports Win8! You can also use setup scripts to install exe file after install but before you login, but i don't know much about that or the scripts that are used. -

steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Did you integrate all the updates from my list? Cause if you did, there are updates that must not be integrated which do give out a these error messages during Win7 install, these are KB2603229, KB2533552 and KB2506143!- 666 replies

steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Or you can reverse integrate KB2533552 and capture a new wim, that way you wouldn't need to bother with this update until MS issued a new update for it. Reverse integration also gives you the chance to integrate other things like .NET4.5, MSE4.1 and etc I have already made my custom iso with these and other programs i choose to include in the wim file.- 666 replies
