POST SP1 Updates Windows 7 X64 FRA
steven4554 replied to christf1982's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
I don't know why christf1982 made a French list, as the updates available in my update lists will work in any language version of Windows 7. Plus I keep my lists up to date every month. The ULZ in this thread is 3 years old when SP1 had just been released! -

Windows XP Updates...The whole collection!
steven4554 replied to DieselDragon's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
You'll be better getting the ULZ from my XP thread, which will direct you to the WUD Website which hosts the latest XP ULZ's for both x86 and x64! http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/153911-post-sp3-updates-for-windows-xp-only-available-on-wud-website/ -
No all updates/hotfixes, are from both MS Update Catalog and the Download Center. Any request for hotfix that is not made available in both the Catalog or Download Center, is not offered in my update lists!

Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Thanks for the suggestion. I've already put a warning next to the updates that cannot be integrated, so I don't see the point in creating another section in the lists.- 666 replies

Same with the other lists, it will display the OS name, when you select that option. It's good if you want to make an update iso.

The WUD website is not my site, it is owned by JCarle, cause he made the program. 1) Yes, Win8 ulz's will still remain on the site, but I will no longer update them! But you are free to update them, but only for personal use. 2) Yes i've just discovered that, but it will be corrected after this week's Patch Tuesday, when JCarle uploads my ulz's to his site.

Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Spot on, WMF 4.0 requires .NET 4.5 as a minimum, but since we cannot integrate 4.5 (no thanks to MS) into the offline image, it will have to be installed after you've installed Win7. Unless you use reverse integration, which is a lengthy process or you can use a script to initiate setup programs after install of 7 but before you reach the oobe screen (place where enter your login details, product key, etc) to automatically install 4.5/4.5.1 and WMF4.0. In the next ULZ's, I'll put a non-integrate warning for WMF4.0!- 666 replies

Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Geez some questions, but I'll do my best to answer them:- 1) IE11 requires only 5 updates to be integrated before you can integrate IE11, as some updates that MS suggests have been superseded by newer updates. I have a dedicated IE11 Thread with all the downloads available: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/159082-internet-explorer-11-updated-10122013/ 2) Only download Updates from Security, Non-Security and .NET Framework 3.5.1 sections, some updates come with Non-Integrate at the end, which obviously means you can't integrate those updates into your offline image. And it doesn't really matter which order you integrate them. 3) Nearly all updates are post-sp1, except for KB971033, KB917607, KB976002 and few others which were released when Win7 first come out. Thanks, Happy New year to you- 666 replies

That's because you probably integrated some updates that are not meant to be integrated into a offline image, make a new image but be sure not to include these updates below (assuming you used my latest version of my ULZ's):- KB2917500 KB2603229 KB2533552- 666 replies

steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Did you do a fresh install of Win7 SP1 without any updates, cause Post-SP1 has nearly 200 updates on WU now (not counting the extra 350+ hotfixes that's not on WU), and some of them are superseded, but MS hasn't removed them from WU yet. We only got just over 1 year before Win7 goes into extended support, so hopefully MS will release SP2 before mainstream support ends.- 666 replies

Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
Those 3 non-superseded updates are now in both MSFN and WUD lists. The reason why the DX installers are not in the official lists, is because Jcarle didn't want me to include files that were not hosted on a MS server, due to copyright.- 666 replies

After a little investigating, here are the updates that were removed from my WUD ulz's because they've been superseded:- KB2534366 replaced by KB2676562 KB2618451 replaced by KB2900986 KB2639308 replaced by KB2676562 KB2641690 replaced by KB2718704 KB2769369 replaced by KB2839894 KB2813170 replaced by KB2872339 KB2863058 replaced by KB2904266 Updates not superseded KB2607047 KB2647753 KB2823180 Again, thanks for letting me know about the updates that escaped my detection of being superseded. Win7 ULZ's are now sorted out for next year!- 666 replies

Strange I'll have look into it later, as it's now past 3 am here in the UK and I need some shut eye. (btw, I now update the official ulz's on the WUD website for Jcarle as well) exFAT is built-in to Win7 so no need for any update (unless there is a security issue with exfat.sys file) and I can already confirm that KB2852386 is in my ulz's!- 666 replies

steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
MS has still to update the WU system to remove that superseded update from being offered, KB2820331 is applicable to both x64 and x86, see the KB article page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2820331 If WU continues to offer KB2791765, then hide it cause it's out of date!- 666 replies

Final ESU Updates for Windows 7 SP1 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in User Contributed Update Lists
KB2574819 - This still a required update so you can update RDP to v8.0 KB2706045 - This update is only required if you are using IE8 on Win7, doesn't apply to later versions of IE. KB2791765 - This update has been superseded by http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2820331'>KB2820331 KB2862152 - This update will not be included as it updates a feature that most end users would hardly be using. KB2868725 - Not applicable to most end users, so therefore not included.- 666 replies

Thanks for using my ULZ's 1) Update not applicable means that you need to install something in order to be able to install those updates, or is not meant for the edition of Win7 you are currently using. 2) As for the updates not included, they are the Remote Desktop updates which I won't include in my ULZ's. 3) KB971033 is missing because it is meant for verifying whether you are running a legit version of Win7, and I don't plan on ever including that in my ULZ's!- 666 replies

I'll add the IE11 cab file to the lists in a few days, I was expecting MS to release a updated cab with the latest security update included, but they've still not released it, or didn't bother to make one. -
Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 (Retired!)
steven4554 replied to steven4554's topic in Web Browsers
MS's lists of required updates is out of date, as some updates have been superseded by new updates, which is why my list is different to MS's. As for WinToolkit, I would recommend you integrate the prerequisites updates first from my list, then integrate one of the IE11 cabinet files which are in the first post. -
