  5. try just /qb or /qn or even -s, i havnt tried to add it yet to my DVD but those will be the ones i try
  6. I tried that before and got errors, the best thing to do is to Slipstream SP2 into the XP that hasnt been slipstreamed yet, works soooo much better, and you might as well wait till RC2 comes out soon
  7. I mean that through me unattended DVD i want it to set the GP options by itself and not to put that garbage in the start menu and i wanted to see if anyone had any ideas how to do it, Would all i have to do is run the MMC file that has the options set out in the start.cmd??
  8. I wanted to see if anyone knows how to get the group policy settings to work, such as removing all that junk from the start menu?
  9. you will have to chnage it all once the new files come out, just transfer the data from YOUR SP1 file to the SP2 file and it should work fine.
  10. i know that sometimes progs are still installing and the shut down continues, i decided in mine since i waited sooooo long for the process to complete that i made the wait time 5 minutes to shut down, that gave it PLENTY of time to finish up adn load. ECHO. ECHO Restarting the PC in 5 minutes... shutdown.exe -r -f -t 300 -c "Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 will restart in 5 minutes, this will give enough time for Windows to update the shell and to fully load before it's ready to restart! Please remain patient, the whole process is almost over." ECHO. ECHO Deleting Temp Installation Files... RD /S /Q %systemdrive%\install EXIT
  11. i have that same problem, i even went to the extent of puting that file in all the office folders, but that didnt help, tried propertires to check what it said and nothing was checked marked, and it still makes me point to it, what else is there to do?????????
  12. THis is how mine works, i've used it over and over no problems ECHO. ECHO Installing Microsoft Office 2003 Professional... ECHO Please wait...This could take 1-5 minutes... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Microsoft\Office2003\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=unattended.MST /qb- but there is no wrap around
  13. Use Nero - get the XP image from the Unattended install walk-through then set the nero to no emulation with 4 sectors and point the image to the one you downloaded from the guide
  14. already did that but i figured it out, it was the winnt.cmd wasnt there and it was looking for it and locking up, but thanks anyhow
  15. Has anyone had trouble withthe reboot after the copying portion of setup in Virtual PC 2004 where at the boot it says press any key to boot from CD... and you want it to keep going to get to the setup but instead it just locks up?
  16. Because it is RC1, i've slipstreamed it with no problem and used the SP1 deployment tools to make the winnt.sif, but in order to get the new updates i've noticed that the only way it works is through automatic update (which i hate) but still awaiting RC2...
  17. is your Win 2k formatted with NTFS???
