I have a DELL!!!!!!!!! Why would they give me an illegal key?

I have a **** DELL with a legal key...I'm talking to a Microsoft representative right now...He says it might have been the anti-virus program...

OK, I installed it, and now when I logon, I get this message: This happened to me the last time I tried installing it, but we thought it was because Microsoft was having problems with their activation thing...Anyone know what the error is? BTW, as soon as I press OK on that error message, it logs me off... I don't have the corporate edition of XP...

I have 256 MB of RAM, 1.6 GHz, and its taking forever...It says its "Running processes after install". It has said this for the past 10 minutes...Is this normal? (Don't think so...)

How long does it usually take to install SP1 from the 125 MB package?

I think this is what you're looking for...Its for IE 6, but it should work. If it doesn't, let me know...

Really? I found one too...If you install it in another directory without overwriting your old Office XP, Microsoft Word 2003 will ask you to reinstall a component. If you open Word 2003 after you've restarted your computer, it'll ask you to reinstall or repair something. But if you open it again, it won't. If you open Word XP after you've opened Word 2003, it'll ask you to reinstall or repair something. But if you open Word XP again, it won't appear. Kinda strange...

Have you ever used Partition Magic? That might do the trick for the partitioning instead of fdisk... I'm not too sure about Grub...

If I were you, I would partition the 40 GB drive with one partition that has 35 GB (for Win 2000) and one partition with 5 GB (for RedHat). Once you start installing RedHat, it'll ask you what partition you want to install it on...Choose the 5 GB one. Once you're done with that, you will probably start to use the Linux boot menu. It SHOULD display all three OSes. When you want to uninstall RedHat, go here and follow the instructions on how to get your old boot menu back...
