  1. Yea, but this stuff literally freezes the key, and gives moisture to the keyboard, so you can actually wipe that dry dirt right off! I used this on my laptop keyboard and it worked great!
  2. I'm guessing you have a Linksys router, because this happened to me as well...In your Linksys settings, if you really want to get rid of this, you have to disable UPnP Services...This is found under the Password tab... Hope it works out!
  3. I went to RadioShack tonight and decided to pick up some cans of dust and dirt cleaners (compressed gas duster)... I used this on one of my dirty keyboards that probably had a biohazard ...Although this duster gets rid of the dirt on the keys only, it worked great for me...The only thing I couldn't get rid of was the dirt beneath the keys... I would definitely recommend this product: Kensington Duster II Even though it says "Removes Dust and Dirt from Electronic Equipment.", I'm not going to take a chance cleaning the inside of my computer... My dad thought this product worked so well, that he wants me to buy a few more cans, go to his office, and clean the keys on his phones and keyboards connected to his crappy Dells!
  4. Yes, make an unattended CD... http://board.MSFN.org/index.php?showforum=70
  5. OK, now I understand the part about the serial cables, but what about the red tip and white middle, etc? Don't understand that...
  6. I recently found this on the internet, but do not understand how to read it...Can anyone help?
  7. Very useful...So I guess it automatically does it for you?
  8. If I leave some settings blank, such as the product key, will it ask for it during setup?
  9. You gotta be kidding me? its 1337 language, i think... in australia, that is...
  10. Organisation is spelled Organization, I think... Regresh is spelled Refresh...
  11. sven, go to your router's home page (usually 192.168.*.*), check the "Keep Alive: Redial Period 30 sec." setting... Go to the "Status" tab, click on "Disconnect", wait a bit, then click "Connect". Go to the "Advanced" tab, click on the "DMZ Host" tab, and set the last digit to "0"...It should look like "192.168.1.0" or something like that. I've heard of kidd0 doing stuff like this, but he wouldn't know you... Hope this works out! If you don't have a Linksys router, (can't remember if you do) try to interpret these with whatever router you have! Oh yea, not sure, but now its unlimited bandwidth, right ggtyh? And I stay online for as long as I want, for weeks at a time, and sometimes months...But I disconnect every now and then...
  12. I have both on VPC! I installed Win 95 without IE, too!
  13. Anyone know how to install the GD library on Windows?
  14. XPerties, I heard on TechTV that those IDE cables aren't that good...Sometimes they could corrupt you data or a wire could disconnect...Then again, the might be wrong... A friend of mine asked them to get a price for a top, and I mean top of the line machine, at 3.2 GHz (not overclocked, and with good parts as well )...How much RAM do you think this guy should get? More than 1 GB?
  15. ROFL!
  16. Good one!
  17. That's a coffin!!
  18. Have you checked the router? How old is the router? New? Old? Wait, you might want to scan your server for viruses! First unplug the server, and leave the other PCs connected and see if there is a change in speed...Or try pinging each individual client...
  19. Aaron, add this to the unattended install page...
  20. This happened at my dad's office, but only on his computer...It had nothing to do with the machine, but with the network cable he was using...Make sure you cables aren't damaged!
  21. Guys, if you have PC-Cillin 2002 or 2003, don't even bother installing it...My complimentary subscription expired today and I was unable to uninstall the program AUTOMATICALLY...I had to go all over the registry deleting and backing up keys! This is what I had to do to uninstall PC-Cillin 2002 manually... Its hell! Well, lucky for me, I had a version of NAV laying around! Works better than PC-Cillin!
  22. You can download a 45-day fre trial version here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/virtual...loads/trial.asp OMG! Its owned by Microsoft now!? Oh god, more bugs!
  23. Get a copy of VirtualPC instead of wasting CDs...
  24. Nothing would happen...I did that once, and in the middle of the setup, it just went to the Finish screen...Nothing should go wrong! And good idea! (Post #2100 )
