Leo_wael76, you cannot just place WMP11 and its updates into the nLite hot fix section without the slipstreamer. I don't know if this is what your problem is. Here is the link to boooggy's WMP11 Slipstreamer. DL and install it on your system, then try nLite again - place the WMP11 installer before the WMP11 updates. I cannot give you a list of what you can and cannot add using nLite. There are places to look for this information. At the top of the page is a Search button. It is you main friend here. I used it to find boooggy's stuff. If nothing else, remove all but a few of the items in your hot fix section and try nLite again. I have not seen this error before and cannot speculate what is going on in your case. Enjoy, John.

Ponch is mostly correct. The link jaclaz referenced (shown below) is a old thread by me. Apparently nLite does not delete any files but does modify the sfc_os.dll. Enjoy, John.

Leo_wael76, your Last Session should be in your source folder and also in the C:\Program Files\nLite\Presets folder(C: may be another letter). Are you trying to include WMP11 updates? If so, do you have booogy's WMP11 Slipstreamer installed and included WMP11 installer in your hot fix list. Without your Last Session, we are left to guess what is going on. Enjoy, John.

l33boy, what do you mean SFC files are missing from the Registry? I disable SFC in nLite Options, then after install, I enable it again. So, I think nothing is removed, only disabled. Have you run nLite more than once against the same source? You should always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders and you should attach your Last Session as requested at the top in RED. Enjoy, John.

Zaitzev, here is a link to a .NET AddOn on RyanVM. And here is a link to the sort order thread. In some cases, I think, sort order does matter. For example, if you add an IE8 AddOn, then the IE8 updates should follow. Enjoy, John.
-
Zaitzev, you are welcome. Glad you are running. Enjoy, John.
-
Zaitzev, sorry, but I have told you what your problem is. Many people have included the updates after SP3 with no problems (except for the ones that won't integrate in nLite) running XP. Some people here seem to think order does not matter (there is a thread here to that effect) - that the update process will sort out the versions of the various files being updated. I keep mine in order (XP x64). You do have a few choices. Run nLite of an XP system, run nLite under an XP virtual system (VMware Server, VirtualPC and VirtualBox are all free) or don't integrate a Service Pack. Enjoy, John.
-
Zaitzev, your are running nLite under W7 to create an ISO for XP. This is not going to work if you integrate a Service Pack. ricktendo64 is also correct that not all MS updates will integrate with nLite. This is another reason I recommended an Update Pack from RayanVM. Enjoy, John.
-
Zaitzev, we still need to see your attached Last Session as -X- has requested. We would rather not ask a plethora of questions that can be answered by a quick look at your Last Session. Try using your original CD, copying all the files into an empty folder (nLite will do this for you). So, some of the ISOs came from here? What is your CD - retail, OEM, recovery, etc? Enjoy, John.
-
Zaitzev, where did all these ISOs come from? Please post a screen shot of at least one of your errors. You probably should consider an Update Pack (good ones found on RyanVM forum) - not to solve this problem but to get the correct set of post SP3 updates. Enjoy, John.
-
sys7em, please see my attached screen shot. So, removing Text Services Framework is definitely a problem, perhaps not the only one. Try a run (starting with a fresh copy of your CD) with it included and see if that fixes your problem and let us know. The tweak "Explorer-Launch folder windows in a separate process" exposes a Windows bug and you may want to remove it. Enjoy, John.

How to change/hack windows XP installation with my own language
johnhc replied to bravosix's topic in Customizing Windows
bravosix, first, please attach your Last Session as requested at the top in RED. I have used only English (ENU) versions of Windows in English, but have you looked at the Regional tab of the Unattended task of nLite ( I find no Javanese - perhaps there is another term used). Have you researched the Multilingual User Interface (MUI)? I have only heard of it but know there has been some discussions about it here. Please do some searching. Enjoy, John. -
DzigiBau, I was hoping that you would get you past the scan, not as a final step. I now suspect that there is some update issued recently by MS that is causing the problem. Since nuhi is probably not going to help, I am looking for a work around. Right now, the only thing I can think about is removing some on the latest updates to your system and trying until it works. I am not sure if you are willing to try this. I know of no trace or log system to use. Someone else may have some suggestions as to how to get a handle on this. Enjoy, John. EDIT: DzigiBau and pesec, have either of you tried with your security turned off? If not, please do and let us know. When I run without my security enabled, I disconnect my modem to be sure that I don't get zapped. Also have you scanned you systems lately for bad guys? Enjoy, John.
-
sys7em, We have no idea since you did not attach your Last Session as is requested in RED at the top. You have probably removed something that will kill the Language Bar. Enjoy, John.
-
mzik, you said you added SP3. Is the 800 MB before or after adding SP3? How did you add SP3? Did you really only copy the I386 folder? Please post a screen shot of a Windows Explorer view of your hard drive. How is your hard drive formated - NTFS of FAT? What kind of hard drive is it (besides USB)? Enjoy, John.
-
pesec, please try what I suggested to DzigiBau above and let us hear. Thanks, John.
-
xiton, please see this thread - two links at the top. Also notice the problem in the thread - do not remove something you may need because components are very difficult if not impossible to restore. Enjoy, john.
-
DzigiBau, here is something to try - manual slipstream of SP3. Please copy your CD files/folders into an empty folder. Open a command prompt and enter the complete path to SP3 followed by " /integrate:path", include the blank but not the quotes on the switch. The path is the complete path to the source folder. Here is an example from my system using a hot fix: "C:\Slipstream\Slipstream Components\Build_Components\Update_Hotfix\Additional\WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB958655-x64-ENU.exe" /integrate:C:\Slipstream\WorkingThen open nLite and point it to the source folder. Please let us know. Enjoy, John.
-
pesec, what source are you starting with? If you are not starting with a fresh copy of you original CD files/folders, please do so and let us hear. You can use your original Last Session to keep the configuration you had before. Enjoy, John.

jeihsin1, please look in your device manager and see if you have any 'yellow bangs'. These are the warnings that a driver is missing. If you find any, please post a screen shot of the device manager screen. To get to the Device manager, right click My Computer, click Manage and select Device Manager. I also suspected Removal Storage but only one of GrofLuigi's list. I am also suspicious of all the Services you have removed, but can't point to a good candidate. You may have to go into try and test mode - removing about half of your changes and see if it works. I assume you are always starting with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders. Enjoy, John.
-
mzik, I don't see any problems here. I do not recognize the screen shot. What version of Windows are you using? Please go to Folder Options-View tab and make sure that hidden and system files are not hidden. Enjoy, John.
-
DzigiBau, truly weird! I cannot think of anything that might be causing this. Perhaps SP3 or a later update??? I have not heard of anyone having this problem and I suspect most people have SP3 and most, current updates. Did you do exactly the same procedure on the computer that worked? I will do some cogitating and let you know if I have any new ideas. Sp0iLedBrAt, I too, removed Movie Maker. Enjoy, John.
-
Kurt_Aust, thanks much, once again. Your work is very appreciated. Thanks, John.
-
osi, you have included no text mode drivers. You need a driver with a txtsetup.oem file. I cannot tell what kind of chip set you have but Fernando 1 (the driver expert here) has a couple of sticky posts at the top that may have the drivers you need for RAID and/or AHCI text mode. Enjoy, John.
-
milk, I am curious where the ISO image came from? When you purchased the OEM CD, it contained all the files and folders you needed and all that was needed was to copy them to a folder on your system. I do not think any kind of copyright is in your way. I think it is the SP3 integration under W7. I have used two different OEM CDs (XP x64) with no problems. When you get your initial install complete, then you can create a complete XP install disk with nLite. Enjoy, John.
