I have installed zone alarm because I need a stronger firewall. What else does zone alarm do? After installing it and running it, the program changed my network settings and stuff, and it won't let me connect to the internet. When I quit the program, then it will let me connect to the internet. How do i configure the program so when I load zone alarm, it won't change my network settings, and be able to connect to the internet? Hope you know what I mean. In my computer I have norton internet security 2002 installed and it has expired a long time ago (it came when I bought the computer). Does the firewall still work although it has expired?

I downloaded Sybot Search & Destroy. It's quite good. I think it detects spyware, malware, hijacks better than Adaware.

That's a lot of steps! Can I only follow one of those steps or a few of them instead? Before I started this topic, I had zone alarm installed already this morning. It changed my internet connection and stuff like that, I had to quit it make the internet working again. Does that happen to you?

Thanks! By the way, I use adaware everyday to remove the spyware so the toolbar will disappear. When I turn on the computer everyday, the toolbar appears again. Is there a way to make the toolbar disappear pernamently?

I have unwanted toolbars on internet explorer everytime I go on the internet. I have no idea how to delete them. Everytime I go to a website, it appears again, then I need to right click and make it disappear. Then I go to anothe website, the unwanted toolbar appears again. I don't know how to delete the unwanted toolbar pernamently. Do you all know how to deal with this problem?

If you want to delete folders, go to windows explorer.

It's not a restarting or shut down problem, it's a turning on computer problem. but thanks for that website!
