  1. It will popup window anyway. The only way is building MSI but I am lazy doing it for yahoo
  2. Powerarchiver has very stupid way of installing and creating every setting per user. I have created an MSI installer for that with registry settings applied in installer. And also I import its registry settings with cmdlines.txt to be applied to all users.
  3. Look this Thread This not only gets CD letter but ejects CD then loads it checks for correct CD and runs specified command from CD. Any questions?
  4. Hey look if u make SP2 CD u don't need to install hotfixes with batch file. Post SP2 hotfixes can be easyly integrated in source. Switches are same as for Service Pack file. Simply type WindowsXP-KBxxxxxx-x86-enu.exe /integrate:<path> for each hotfix and they will be installed with windows.
  5. The CD u're insterting has Autorun.inf and runing program setup.exe on CD Load. Windows XP everytime asks for password when any file named setup.exe runs under user with no Administrative rights. You can disable autorun for CD-ROM. I don't need to get rid of that message it is very usefull for me so I don't know any other way if it is vital for u I will try to get Registry key for it.
  6. No Problem but be attentive cause when setting first time drive letters may mix. For example d: can be cd-rom drive. actually it makes letters continueslly - first hard disk\first partition then second partition ...., then second hard disk\first partition and so on then cdrom drive. but if you want to place it on second hard disk the first must have only one partition and d: would be second hard. You must calculate Happy New Year
  7. Add this to registry to disable writing debugging information on system failure HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl] "CrashDumpEnabled"=dword:00000000 or if you have this setting in your registry tweaks ;Disable Automatic Restart in the event of a BSOD [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl] "AutoReboot"=dword:00000000 You can add this to that key "CrashDumpEnabled"=dword:00000000
  8. hasi I have a suggestion. You can add a command at the end of programs that is not visible in UI or simply add an option to the program that will not make a checkbox for it. It will be executed last and no need for WPI to wait it can exit after writing registry entries in runonceex. Will you try that way? And one more thing when installing 15 apps at once some MSI-s dont install is it from the hang of script?
  9. can i increase this ??? ok i found something when i shifted from 3.1.1a to 3.2 my config.js looks like this it appears that the 3.2 version no longer uses this code in config.js. LOL did i miss a notice somewhere? Astalavista this is commented out so it is not active
  10. I have the same problem with 15 apps per window and some MSI-s dont install at all. If I change to one RunOnceEx window for all apps will it solve the problem?
  11. I think u dont need first one u can specify resolution in winnt.sif For second put it in your cleanup.cmd if u have or put this kind.
  12. for Unattended Codec-Pack Enhanced MSI Version for this Pack. No batch files. Customizable during silent install. Read this post Thread
  13. @Incroyable Look this post CD Changer You can launch this tool from [RunGUIOnce] giving it parameters of commands it will get CD Drive Letter and execute command from CD. The description is on posted.

  15. CD Changer Updated! I have updated this tool now it is more customizable Fill free to ask question or suggest features cdchg.zip
  16. I dont really catch what this option do. Can you explain? I need an option for setting path as the root ov CD from where WPI is run. Is discPath for that?
  17. I've tested again It returns not the first CD Drives letter, it reads from registry SourcePath though the discPath is set to %root%
  18. somebody any ideas to this ? Where's your WPI run from. Somewhere you call WPI.hta, maybe in a cmd-file where it says start /wait wpi.hta ? put your command/proggie there - WPI doesn't know about it, and it's run after wpi if you put it a line after the start /wait ... hasi I have already done that way thanks. And now have another question This is my case My installation CDs are 3. 1. Windows XP 2. Applications 3. MS Office I have problem with pathes. WPI runs from second CD and all applications is on that CD. I want that it return the drive letter where it is located, cause there are no win51 file on CD. If there is one CD-ROM drive on PC it works normal but when there are two drives it returns the letter of the first no matter that the CD is run from second. How can I set pathes or edit the Java Script in Generate.js to return self drive letter.
  19. U dont catch what I mean. I want that the program or command will not be shown on WPI-s interface as a checkbox but still execute it.
  20. Hasi can u tell me how can I set a command that will execute anyways and will not be displayed as checkbox and name? And one more thing - can I set command to run when exit is pressed? (for example restart PC on exit)
  21. I don't got what this really do? Can u explain shortly? I want that for each category separate RunOnceEx window created. Is it for that?
