  1. You should also mention this MUST HAVE tool: HERE
  2. You should read a bit since this matter was already solved many times on the forum... and even in the official guide http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/finish.htm You cannot load a ISO over 2GB with Virtual PC. The workaround is to mount the ISO in a tool such as Daemon Tools and then use the mounted drive in Virtual PC.
  3. So, should I cancel my HitMan?
  4. Don't worry, I won't slap you in the back of the head!
  5. My driver pack is simply Bâshrat the Sneaky Drivers Packs + Intel Chipset INF + Intel Graphics Drivers + ATi Graphics Drivers... Plus I have a couple of specific drivers like Samsung Monitor, VMware and Fujitsu S6210...
  6. Yes, you are right. The drivers get decompressed at the beginning of the GUI installation part, just before the Hardware detection process starts at T-39.
  7. Not sure... maybe it has to do with the Compression Process on your computer...
  8. Yepp, since 2 month now I have switched to this method for Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP2 Edit: for now I have 359Mo of drivers compressed to 83Mo !!!
  9. Leave the parameter by default and go for Ultra Compression...
  10. It will generate a Random Computer name based on the OrgName value. Try to use NAT in your Network setting for the Guest Operating System in VMware
  11. The short answer is the following: 1) Put all your drivers folders in a directory named DP 2) Compress the directory with 7zip (Create SFX Archive) 3) Put the compressed file in $OEM$\$\ 4) Add this to your winnt.sif [Unattended] OemPnPDriversPath="DP\L\3C\1;Etc... [GuiUnattended] DetachedProgram="%systemdrive%\DP.exe" Arguments="-y /q /r:n"
  12. @pinout Yes we know that. But my question was if I use my CD on a Win2000 system already installed which doesn't have REG.EXE in SYSTEM32, How do I make sure I can use it? the answer is the following: if not exist %windir%\system32\reg.exe copy "%CDROM%\CD\W2K\reg.exe" %windir%\system32
  13. I am currently playing with a Windows 2003 Std Server Unattended. I used the setupmgr.exe inside the deploy.cab but my winnt.sif is Ignored! I remember that we had to delete a winnt.xxx file in our i386 folder in order to make the winnt.sif work but I cannot find the information anymore... the only file close to that is WINNT.AD_ ??? Is it the one to delete? Another question, I've build my ISO with CDIMAGE Pro and I was just wondering what is the difference between the Home and the Pro version ?
  14. I don't know what to vote? I am French Canadian (Québec City, Canada)
  15. No, it is not GOD who created that function!
  16. Hummm I have conclusive evidence in my PM box... I'll add them in the next release! The reason why they aren't there yet: nobody has requested support for those. (didn't know they made ethernet cards...) Greetz, Bâshrat the Sneaky
  17. Are you using compression? Because I downloaded all Driver Pack + my Chipset drivers + my graphics drivers and once they are compressed with 7zip, I get a 83Mo archive! The other alternative is to burn your Unattended CD to a 850Mo Media
  18. Still no SMC Drivers?
  19. The only reason to buy aggressive timing memory is for OVERCLOCKING. If you are planning to use your CPU at the stock speed, don't pay to much attention to this aspect.
  20. Just a little suggestion. It would be a great simple tool to have a small .exe which is able to scan our directory and prepare the text required for the OemPnPDriversPath for our winnt.sif Please don't tell me to use a third party utility such as Nlite or whatever ... I am seeking a small self contained program. Maybe it can be done with a batch file, I don't know. If this is the case I can offer to convert this batch file to a .exe with a custom icon and the Info of the creator
  21. Of course it is possible! If you want my advise, I strongly recommend EasyBoot which is a great app for building a Multi-Boot Menu. An other advise, don't use Partition Magic. It is causing major headeache. Go for Acronis Disk Director Suite 9 (which contains Partition Expert) ... this one is the best!
  22. Great! But did you forget about the SMC drivers? EDIT: Cool new website!
  23. 1- Why don't you use CDIMAGE.EXE ? cdimage.exe -l"W2KSP2" -t08/23/2001,09:00:00 -h -j1 -b"Microsoft Corporation.img" -o -w1 -m "\WinXP SP2" "\ISO\WinXP SP2.iso" 2- no idea. Is there a Hotfixe or update to go from 2.0 to 2.1? 3- winnt.sif [Data] AutomaticUpdates=yes [GuiUnattended] OemSkipWelcome=1
  24. Yes I do. I have 2 folders: v1.0.3705 v1.1.4322
